“Lovely cottage, Great Location”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2018

As other reviewers have said, the location of this cottage is perfect. Two minutes walk to good bars and restaurants, five minutes to Sheep Street, and a couple more to the RSC. The cottage is exactly as described and spotlessly clean. We had a great time sharing the cottage with our teenage son and when we return to Stratford, we won’t look anywhere else.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review, it was indeed great to host your family. Delighted you enjoyed your time so much.

“Great place”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2018

Not a lot to say but great little place would definitely recommend to a family ie. two adults to children because if going as two couples with having a jack and gill bathroom wouldn’t have much privacy during night visits also second bedroom I personally say just for children bit small for two adults but that’s just my opinion but I would definitely go again and already looking to book again for next year

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed it so much and would love to welcome you again. Thank you for your comments. Have had 2 lots of couples many a time with plenty of positive comments. Space not been an issue as photos and description on website give you exactly what you get, so no surprises when people arrive. Hope to see you again.

“Lovely cottage, perfect location.”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2017

The location is ideal with access to the town only a few yards away. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The owner very kindly contacted us to let us access the cottage early which was a great help. The fixtures and fittings were all of a high quality, the beds were comfy and the towels were the softest we have ever had. The wonderful weather completed our lovely weekend. We would definitely return.

Owner's reply: Thanks for spending the time to leave a review - much appreciated. Delighted you had a great stay and enjoyed everything, lovely to meet you. It would be wonderful to see you return.

“Couldn't ask for more”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2016

A very cosy cottage, conveniently located near the centre but in a very quiet street, close to the train station, fully and very tastefully equipped, very clean! We really like it! The landlady kindly answers e-mails very quickly and even left welcoming gifts for us! Lovely jam and yummy cookies! The garden at the back is beautifully kept, indoors is also great! We thoroughly recommend this place and hope to visit again; our children love tha games abd dvds they have in the lounge! Thank you

Owner's reply: So pleased you really enjoyed your stay. It was a delight to host for you. Thank you so much for your review - much appreciated.

“Charming small cottage in middle of town.”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2016

My 3 adult daughters and I stayed at Fair Haven for 4 nights whilst attending a Shakespeare course. It is a charming, well equipped holiday let with the added benefit of a small garden (with garden furniture). The owner was efficient and extremely helpful, we felt she would be there immediately should we need her - we didn't, everything worked perfectly. The downstairs has been extended and provides a sitting room, and a kitchen diner with a table for 4. There was also comfortable seating for 4 in both the sitting room and the kitchen diner. There is only one lavatory, upstairs, in the 'jack and jill' bathroom cleverly sandwiched between the bedrooms. The bedrooms have hanging space/wardrobes and drawers. We stayed after an incredibly hot week and the owner had thoughtfully provided fans for the bedrooms (which we didn't need). We would definitely rent this cottage again, it was so conveniently located for both the tourist sights and our course. It is a classic small terrace house and my only word of caution is that it might not suit 4 amply proportioned adults! for example the entrance to the shower is about 15". However with the exception of this one point I would heartily recommend this let. There is no parking and the cottage is on a single lane one way street, but it was easy to pull onto the pavement to quickly unload and the car park is close. Coming by rail would be a breeze as the cottage is only a realistic 10 minutes walk from the station.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your detailed and helpful review. So glad you thoroughly enjoyed your stay in the cottage and Stratford itself. Sorry about the narrower shower entry - not been mentioned before! We needed to put a slider door in to ensure the shower itself was a decent size.
