“Splendid experience by far the best in UK” We would like to take the opportunity to thank the owners of the cottage to present us with an excellent cottage to stay.
The living room was beatiful, the conservatory splendid,
The kitchen was neat and tidy and had all the amenties we needed. Rayburn was a different experience.
The gardens were lush and green , fish pond was beautiful.
Bedrooms were cosy and spa was a different experience.
Overall worth the trip.
Special thanks to owners for their recommendations to visit places. They were approachable and decent.
“Excellent find!” Willow Lodge 4 is an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore Stratford & surrounding areas. Rob & Christine are lovely! They have great personalities & nothing is too much trouble. The Lodge is absolutely immaculate throughout & very spacious. All of the furnishings & facilities are exceptionally high quality and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need! Avon Park itself is very well maintained and feels private, safe & secure. The club house is a short walk away from the Lodge. It has a large green area for kids to play & run around in and also a decent play area to keep them occupied while parents enjoy a cheeky drink or two! A trip on the river taxi is definitely worth a go, however it can get very busy so choose your time carefully! We would definitely recommend this place & know where we'll be staying on our next trip to Stratford!
“Bliss” I first stayed here with family in 2007 and we've been back every year (apart from 1). I have only positive things to say about River Haven lodge. The lodge has everything and more that you could need for your stay. The owners are extremely welcoming and there is always cake and a bottle of wine for your arrival :0) It’s close to the town which is lovely in itself but we were just as happy to sit out on the decking (weather permitting) and watch the world go by. I would recommend the lodge to anyone and I hope to go back again next year.
“Comfortable Home from Home” My wife and I booked 'Little Haven' at relatively short notice for a one week stay to visit and assist relatives with various tasks that had to be done - so not actually a true, 'holiday' visit. We live in Cumbria and had had quite a taxing journey. The moment we arrived at Little Haven, we received a very warm welcome by Jean and immediately began to relax following our journey. We found the accomodation to be very comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious for two people. The environment was very relaxing with a wealth of birds visiting the pleasant gardens both in the morning and evening. During our stay we celebrated one of our daughters birthdays, all of our immediate family were to visit us at 'Little Haven' for the celebration and when Jean realised they were going to attend, she kindly offered us the use of her conservatory for the celebration so that we would have more room for the family. A very unexpected, but gratefully accepted gesture. All in all a fabulous place to stay, (which we hope to return to in the future for more of a 'holiday' visit), with very kind, welcoming, hosts. Thank you to both Jean and David. So glad you recieved recognition for your 'Nature Garden Reserve' which we will visit when we next stay. I recomend this property without reservation.
“The Perfect Weekend” This was the perfect weekend for myself and my girlfriend. The cottage was perfect, and the addition of the hot tub was amazing. Sitting in the hot tub whilst it was raining was especially nice, with some nice music on and a glass of champagne its heaven! I couldnt find a fault with the cottage, it was romantic, cosy and furnished beautifully. All the little touches that were included make it that extra bit special, such as eggs provided from the owners free range hens. It was so perfect, that I proposed to my girlfriend here (I took the ring in anticipation that it would be as romantic as the pictures suggest, and it was) so we are now engaged :) The only thing disappointing was not getting to meet Katriona and Rupert as they were away during our stay, but their communication during our stay was very nice. The surrounding areas are lovely, Stratford is worth a visit it is just 10mins drive and there are plenty of nice restaurants within 5-10mins drive. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone at any time of year, and we will definately be staying again!
“Excellent, will take a lot to find somewhere better.” Little Croft is in the same grounds as the main house but secluded from it by a small wooden fence giving you your own privacy.
The accommodation was excellent, furnishings and equipment first class. TV in lounge and bedroom, immaculte kitchen which included cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher etc. very clean bathroom with shower, all you need for a comfortable stay and all of very good quality, there's even a barbeque and two patio areas with table and chairs for the summer months outside. I can't think of anything that could have been better.
We really enjoyed the comfort of staying there and coupled with the helpfulness of Zoe, the owner, to ensure everything went as smooth as possible from booking to picking up the keys went towards making our weeks stay a memorable one.
The location is ideal, being just a few minutes drive north of the main A46 roundabout outside Stratford-upon-Avon getting to various interesting places in the surrounding area was easy and avoided a lot of the traffic from Stratford (this roundabout also held the Stratford Park and Ride site, we used this when we wanted to visit the town, saving us the hassle of finding somewhere to park and avoiding the sometimes heavy traffic in the town).
There is also a nice little pub/restaurant, the Armories Arms, just a few minutes drive up the road from Little Croft that does very good food at a good price.
All in all I can't recommend Little Croft highly enough,it more than exceeded our expectations and no doubt we will return there again.
“A break in the Cotswolds to remember!” My boyfriend and I spent a lovely long weekend in the Cotswolds recently, and our stay at Garden Cottage was certainly one of the highlights!
I received a very quick and friendly response from Sarah following my initial email enquiry and upon payment of the deposit, she provided me with all the details I needed for the stay along with clear directions to the cottage. We didn’t arrive until after 7pm but this wasn’t a problem and the keys were readily available for us. Upon entering the cottage we were greeted by the smell of a very fresh and clean home and some lovely fresh tulips on the kitchen table. All the local information we needed for our stay was provided in a folder and the necessities were provided for us; tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt & pepper, cooking oils, fresh milk and best of all some scrummy apple juice and cider, both of wish are produced from the apple trees around the cottage, a lovely touch. Ample supply of logs for the cosy wood burning stove in the sitting room – it wasn’t a cold weekend, but we just had to have the fire going in the evenings! Upstairs there was a large en-suit bedroom, with incredibly comfy king size bed, fresh linen and fluffy towels all provided. Lovely peaceful location, the only noise I was aware of was the bird singing in the morning! Would highly recommend this cottage, thank you for a lovely break.
This quaint historic town is well known as having been the home of William Shakespeare, and consequently is absolutely brimming over with Tudor history and fantastic theatre experiences. If you're a history buff or a fan of Shakespeare, be sure to book a holiday rental in Stratford-upon-Avon.
This historic little town in Warwickshire was once the home of William Shakespeare, and visitors can not only see his home, and the homes of many of his family members, but also walk where he walked. It's now the rather fitting home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and theatre performances here are beyond incredible.
The town’s Tudor past has well preserved, but there are plenty of historical experiences that those who aren't into Shakespeare will love too.
What to Do
Mary Arden's Farm is another great interactive Tudor experience, where visitors can watch actors reproduce the Tudor way of life.

Stratford-upon-Avon town, Large, Light and Spacious detached house in - Sleeps 8
A lovely house not badly equipped. Some nice touches - the welcome sweets were a hit with the children and and we appreciated the chilled prosecco. A dog treat was eaten rapidly by Ted. Nice that Wheatsheaf House is dog friendly, too. Hope it stays that way. We felt that the second double room should really be a single as it was a bit cramped and no storage. Birmingham Road is very busy and noisy but the double glazing kept that out. …
A Midsummer Nights Dream Lodge on the River Avon on the waterfront.
Great stay by the canal
The lodge had nearly everything that we needed. Nice and quiet location and a great place to unwind. There is no internet connection at the lodge and only a small TV but, otherwise we we had a great week.
Only a 20 minute walk into Stratford or take the water taxi, which is only a 5 minute walk from the lodge (£2 per person). Stratford is a great place to visit with everything you want. …
River Retreat Lodge is front line with panoramic views over the river Avon.
Wonderful place to relax and unwind
This lodge is fantastic. Location is perfect - right beside the river! We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return. …
Stratford upon Avon Lodge Willow 4
Great lodge in a great position on a great park
Stayed at the lodge for 3 nights in September. The park itself is lovely and well kept and the lodge is in a great position with an open outlook across a grassy area with the River Avon less than a minute's walk away. The lodge itself was lovely with comfy sofas and bed (the bed linen was beautiful). The equipment - TV, cooker microwave, etc were easy to use which is always a bonus in a holiday let. We brought bikes and Chris and Rob gave us a lot of information on various rides from the lodge which was extremely helpful. The arrival and departure times were also better than most rentals. Would definitely recommend even without the planned upgrade in the next few months. …

The Swan Apartment
A lovely clean and spacious apartment with everything you would need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. We were visiting Stratford-upon-Avon for a short break to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. A really nice touch was the greeting card and box of chocolates. Carole was really helpful in all of our communications. The apartment is about a mile from the town centre. 20 minute walk, not a problem to us but something to bear in mind when booking. Highly recommend. …
