Little Gem apartment is a first floor self-contained apartment in the heart of Old Village Shanklin with private terraced south facing garden great for sun bathing or al fresco dining. Gas central heated apartment with private entrance, free parking with access to free electric car charging point.

Great pubs and restaurants in the Old Village, under 5 mins walk through Tower Cottage Gardens to Shanklin beach and 2 mins to Shanklin Chine. Minutes from main line train station and main bus routes 2, 3, Bay and Island Breezer.

Little Gem apartment overlooks a tropical garden, Shanklin Chine & Rhylstone Gardens and consists of a spacious bedroom with a super king size bed (or twins if preferred), a leather sofa, dining area, flat screen TV with Free Sat and Wi-Fi/Internet. There is a separate fully equipped kitchen with electric oven & hob, washing machine & dishwasher, fridge/freezer & microwave.

The apartment has a large bathroom, comprising of bath with shower over, WHB & WC. A welcome pack of food provisions for your first breakfast (bread, eggs, butter, cereal, jams, milk, tea, mineral water, fresh fruit and fresh coffee) and a bottle of wine is provided. Linen and towels supplied (please bring own beach towels) and infants under 2 are welcome to stay for free and a cot can be provided. For children over 2 yrs, we can provide a fold away bed. Parents or guardians are fully responsible for the safety of their children as we do have stairs and there are areas that are not safe for children. All children must be supervised at all times. Limitations are (sorry) no pets unless discussed prior to arrival.

We live in the main house attached to the apartment, but the apartment is very private so you will not see us or hear us during your stay unless you need us for any reason, then we are readily available. You have your own private access to the apartment and your own private garden. Free car parking is directly outside the apartment. (We also have an electric car charger if required). If you bring cycles, these can be locked in our garage directly outside the apartment.

Ideal location in Old Shanklin. Very comfortable and clean. Home from home. Large bedroom and bathroom. Owners very friendly and helpful. Kitchen small but fully equipped and suffice.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
