Honeysuckle Cottage is set within Chestnut Mews. Positioned on the quiet outskirts of Shanklin Old Village on the Isle of Wight, just a short walk from the beach.

Honeysuckle Cottage is ideally located only a few minutes walk from the heart of the Old Village with its pretty thatched cottages, pubs and tea rooms. The Cottage is only a ten minute walk to the local award winning beach, with its safe shallow waters and wide sandy beach. Many stunning walks are on our doorstep. The Island is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and with over 500 miles of footpaths, there are plenty to choose from. The Island has 8 golf courses, Castles, amusement parks, Royal Residence, dinosaur remains and much more! Bicycles are easy to hire, watersports are available on small hope beach. Shanklin has many festivals, A Regatta, Carnivals, a walking festival, Christmas festivaland live bands in the park. Shanklin Theatre also have some great shows that are well worth seeing. Parks and

Our three bedroom, self catering, family friendly cottage, sleeping six, with a large enclosed garden, children's play houses and play area. stair gates are fitted to the top and bottom of the stairs, high chairs and travel cots are also available. Hopefully we have thought of everything you need so that your holiday can be one to remember!

Shanklin

The heart of Shanklin Old Village is only a few minutes walk from the cottage, with its pretty thatched cottages, Shanklin Chine, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs, a great pit stop on the way back from the beach ! A ten minute walk will take you to the traditional English seaside town of Shanklin. A ten minute walk will also take you onto Appley Beach, the quieter end of Shanklin's beach, with its safe shallow waters and wide sandy beach. Or you can head out via the Under cliff and discover your own secluded bays, some of which were used by the Islands notorious smugglers! The Isle of Wight with its relaxed atmosphere is a great place to enjoy and unwind, so whether its lazy days on the beach, or adventure you crave, the island has it all.

Getting around

There is a bus stop at the end of priory road, just a couple of minutes walk away. Its nice to take the open top bus around the island to see the sights, just make sure you keep an eye out for low hanging branches. Shanklin station is in the main town of Shanklin, about a fifteen min walk, where you can take the train through to Ryde, another popular seaside town.
