Description

Based in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, we have been welcoming guests into our lovingly renovated single storey barn conversion for the last three years. The barn is situated in the grounds of our own Listed cottage just two miles from Belvoir Castle in the village of Redmile.

For the SIXTH consecutive year we have been awarded a 4* self-catering rating with Visit England.

Whilst we are not formally accredited with a Disability Access Rating, we can provide a front door ramp and vehicular access to the front door. Once inside, there is full access for a wheelchair to the hallway/living/dining/kitchen area as well as to the spacious shower room. Inside the shower cubicle there is a hand-rail for those who need it.

We now have Faster Fibre broadband!

Redmile is close the A1 and has easy access to the market towns of Grantham (10m), Newark (12m), Melton Mowbray (14m) - home of the world famous pork pie - as well as being just 33 miles from the historic city of Lincoln and 20 miles from Nottingham. Grantham railway station is just 1hr and 10mins from London, Kings Cross and East Midlands Airport is 33 miles away. The local area is a haven for wildlife and is ideal for walking and cycling. There is local access to fishing lakes and nearby golf courses.

Two bedrooms; one double, one twin. Open plan living/dining area with log burning stove and electric heating throughout. Electricity is included in the price. Fully fitted kitchen, including electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Spacious shower room. Dressing gowns and hairdryer provided. All linen and towels are provided free of charge. Breakfast Welcome Pack of tea, coffee, sugar, bread, milk, cereals, preserves and free-range eggs from the chickens next door (when available) is supplied for your first breakfast or two. Private garden with patio and BBQ. Off-road parking for two vehicles. Secure garaging can be provided for motorcycles upon request and bicycle storage is available. Picturesque village location, with a gourmet pub and a children's play park, just two miles from Belvoir Castle. PLease note - the Peacock Inn is no longer open, but The Windmill Inn is open a 2 minute walk away in the village.

“Very welcome”

We felt very welcome when we arrived. We enjoyed this cottage very much. Everyting is there. Even fresh products for breakfast are provided. If we ever willl visit that part of the Uk again we will certainly book this cottage again.
