The Old Bakehouse is a traditional Northumbrian family home, nestled in the picturesque historic village of Norham. Built in the late 1800’s of stone taken from the ruins of nearby Norham Castle, it has retained many original features, including the old kitchen range, open fires, shutters and cornices.

With large communal spaces, a table tennis table and an enclosed garden, we offer a comfortable and homely atmosphere where you can enjoy a relaxed self-catering holiday, or celebration with family and friends.

The house sleeps 17 people comfortably in 7 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 - Double bed, with single bed + trundle single underneath bed. Space for travel cot or fold out bed.

Bedroom 2 - Double bed

Bedroom 3 - King bed or twin single beds

Bedroom 4 - Double bed

Bedroom 5 - Double bed (interconnecting door to room 6)

Bedroom 6 - King bed or twin single beds (interconnecting door to room 5)

Bedroom 7 - Double bed with en-suite

Portable fold out bed and travel cot available to all guests

In addition we have created a 'pub' room attached to the bakehouse, complete with games, darts and dominos. We can arrange for a barrel of ale to be delivered from the local artisan brewery (price on request).
