Description from owner

Within the grounds of Newstead Abbey Park, the 200 year old Granary is a stunning high specification recent conversion with many original features.

If you only require 2 bedrooms (twin and double) a lesser price is available, if we shut off a bedroom. Similarly the day rate is reduced if you book more than the minimum number of days, please specify this in your details and I will amend the quoted price the site gave you. You can still pay on-line after I have amended the automatic quote with the reduced price if you prefer. As the direct on-line booking quote can't deal with this reduced price.

Set in 10 acres the Granary is within a 10 minute walk of the Abbey and its formal gardens. With a spacious lounge, 3 large bedrooms each with its own en-suite, (3 en-suites, 2 with luxury double baths one with shower all with power shower's) the property is ideal for a relaxing time or romantic break. “Comfortable place in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2014

We've just returned from a relaxing week at this lovely conversion a would highly recommend it! The barn is a home from home with comfy sofas and decorated to a high standard. The baths are huge and made for some lovely relaxing bubble baths after a walk in the beautiful surroundings. The place is well equipped and lovely and warm. We travelled with family and small children and the stair gates were a welcome addition. The Abbey grounds are stunning with a great play park for the little ones - not to mention feeding the ducks and chasing the peacocks! Would definitely return one day!

“What a delightful place - I can't wait to get back there"”

Having just arrived in England from South Africa (via Dubai and London) we received a warm, personal welcome to a cosy, clean and well equipped home from home. The cottage is very spacious with good sized bedrooms each with modern en suite bathrooms, so ideal for us with adult children. It is so close to Nottingham, a vibrant, trendy city with good restaurants and lots to see. The property is set in a park though, with streams and waterfalls and beautiful lakes - what a delight!

“Fantastic place to stay. Renovated to high standard, very clean and homely.”

We have just stayed at The Granary with our daughter who is 6 and elderly parents. The Granary has been renovated and decorated to a very high standard and has everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. It was very clean when we arrived and we were welcomed with homemade cream cakes in the fridge which were well received after a long journey. Steve and Carol are very helpful with any queries we had. The location is ideal for walking in woodland/countryside and close to many local attractions. We visited Newark, Chatsworth House and Grounds, Sherwood Forest and of course Newstead Abbey which The Granary is located in the grounds of. Would definately recommend The Granary as an ideal place to stay in this area.
