From the owner

A beautiful 6 bedroom, 18th century barn that sits at the end of a gravel drive in the quiet quintessential hamlet of Owlswick. The barn is surrounded by gardens and open fields. Inside is a large vaulted living room with log burner, fully equipped kitchen with aga and dining area. 3 en-suite bedrooms, 3 further bedrooms and two further bathrooms. A further Snug/TV room and a large dining room with log burner. There are fantastic views over the Chilterns and many great walks and pubs on the doorstep.

Outside there are two large patios with outside lounge furniture and a gorgeous large hot tub housed in its only amazing barn where you can sit and relax as you watch the sun set over the hills.

The whole house and garden are yours to enjoy. The barn sits down a gravel drive in a development of two barn conversions all recently renovated and set well apart in their own grounds. The garden is fenced and gated so it is safe for children and dogs. It opens onto open fields and there are footpaths straight from the house that lead directly to a farm shop & cafe that serves award winning breakfasts only a 10 minute walk away.

There are 5 double bedrooms and one bedroom with two singles. The house comfortably sleeps 12 people but there is also a second double in one of the large rooms which would be ideal for children and we have travel cots and high chairs etc for young children if needed. There is also a range of baby and toddler equipment including stair gate, bath seats, baby bath, bed guard, bouncer and lots of indoor and outdoor toys and games.

There are lots of lovely walks and open fields straight from the house and a safe secure garden.

Dogs are welcome if prearranged and charged at £60 per dog per stay. Please just contact me in advance. 2 dogs maximum. Thank you.

Please note that due to the time it takes to clean and change over the house. Check in is 3pm and check out is 9:30. However, most of the time we can accommodate early check in's and if we don't have a same day change over a slightly later check out so do please ask.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Annie (the owner) a message.

If Annie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
