“Perfect base for exploring” Forty Green Farm Cottage is in a beautiful peaceful spot but well located for exploring the area. We had easy day trips to Windsor, Legoland & Waddesdon Manor near Aylesbury. If we had more time I think London & Oxford would have ben in easy reach too.
We all enjoyed the garden, the children loved the climbing frame & swing. Everything we needed was provided (including things which are often missing from holiday rentals such as washing up liquid, cooking oil & so on).
We'd love to return one day.
“What a gem!” We had a wonderful time in this beautiful holiday home, bags of character finished to a very high standard throughout. The location is superb, we tried 2 local walks from the cottage over the weekend finishing in the rather excellent local pub virtually opposite. The owners couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. My husband loved the 65 inch TV in the lounge!
A real treat, will definitely return.

Amazing place to stay.
If you are lucky enough to have come across this beautiful cottage....then book up! My family had a week in this extremely well equipped home from home. Comfortable surroundings with room for four. kitchen had everything you need to cook including extra items like cafeteria, cool bag and flask! Thoroughly stock information booklets, maps WiFi for checking the British weather. Jigsaws, games and dvd's for a wet day. Walks locally, play park in the town, shop and plenty of local days out for a family (or a couple!) to entertain themselves. Private parking and extremely friendly, helpful hosts. We had a wonderful time just chilling in the relaxing ambiance of the cottage. …
Cottage lived up to expectations
The cottage was compact and well equipped. Owners supplied a "goody" bag on arrival which was much appreciated. Lovely cottage garden. Close to local NT properties and Buckingham that was an attractive market town. Bletchley Park was very well worth visiting. Cottage did not lack for anything. Some excellent local pubs for good evening meals. …

Ford End Farm - The Oat House Ford End
Comfortable, roomy, good location
Situated in a quiet village, but close enough to everywhere we needed to be. The Oat house is a good sized property in Ivinghoe. The property was very clean and comfortably furnished. with a separate dining room (very useful if a guest needs to catch up on some work).
The local Pub (Rose and Crown) less than 5 minutes walk serves an excellent variety of home cooked food at very reasonable prices.
We arrived late evening and were a little disappointed that there was no welcome pack (as you would normally get in a property of this price range) but fortunately we had sufficient supplies to last the evening, so it didn't present a major problem.
The property owner was close by to respond to any issues if required …
