The England region

Beaches

Skegness, Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes and Sutton on Sea offer clean and safe sandy beaches.... perfect for cherished holiday memories.

Miles of golden sand, beachside amusements, indoor attractions and good old-fashioned fun make Lincolnshire a firm family favourite, come rain or shine.

Skegness is one of England's favourite seaside resorts, Mablethorpe has blue flag beaches stretching for miles and Cleethorpes offers endless fun and excitement.
Family Entertainment

Stroll the boardwalk at Skegness Pier, one of the east coast's largest family entertainment centres. Feed the seals and have a great day out at Natureland Seal Sanctuary. Brave a white-knuckle ride at Pleasure Island, Cleethorpes.

Grab a seat on the Mablethorpe Sand Train or cool off in the Maple Leaf shaped children's paddling pool at Sutton on Sea. And no trip to the seaside would be complete without a donkey ride on the beach.

Events & Festivals

Join in the annual Skegness SO Festival held in June or enjoy Europe's largest linear coastal arts festival, based around uniquely designed 'Bathing Beauties' beach huts at Mablethorpe during September.

Nature

But this is also a coast for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

Lincolnshire's Natural Coast attracts around a million migrating birds each year and the curved 'Round & Round House', at Anderby, offers a perfect vantage point.

At unspoilt Anderby Creek beach, grab a new perspective on nature - at the UK's first purpose-built cloud viewing platform nestling amidst sand dunes.

Step out into a different world at Huttoft - where you can park your car almost at the water's edge - or at the Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe National Nature Reserve boasting striking summer displays of sea lavender.

Near Skegness lies Gibraltar Point, a 1,300-acre wildlife reserve hosting many breeding colonies of birds, while to the north Donna Nook Reserve has one of the UK's most accessible breeding colonies of grey seals during November and December.

Mablethorpe

Mablethorpe, a great town for seaside holidays on the Lincolnshire Coast. Our sandy beaches have once again been awarded with a blue flag. With more than four miles of unbroken coast line, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea offer something for everyone.

From fish and chips to restaurant dining, you will find everything in Mablethorpe with a choice of pub grub, indian, chinese and italian. There's plenty of activities and entertainment available, including Loewen 2 screen, Dolby Digital 3D Cinema, an entertainment complex, bingo, pub entertainment, horse riding and much more.

“Home from Home!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2014

Great little cottage, all conveniences available. We were lucky with the weather so could enjoy the beach only 200 yards away and the bird sanctuary on the back doorstep! Good outside patio at the back of the cottage. Very comfortable and clean accommodation, wonderful Queen Size bed! We slept like logs - including the dog! Would thoroughly recommend. Mablethorpe is quiet, great for families though. Amazing beaches. We will be back.

“Cosy Cottage!”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2014

A lovely, compact cottage situated on a quiet road two minutes walk from the beach and a steady 15 minute stroll into the town centre. The cottage is exceptionally clean and tidy and very well equipped. The Steakhouse restaurant is about 100 yards away and the very friendly staff serve up good food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly enjoyable break.
