“Perfect Pig Sty”
Having trawled through hundreds of places for a last minute weekend get away and getting disheartened, we came across the Pig Sty. Simply cannot say enough about this place. It is more spacious than we imagined and yet cozy too. The owners have definitely made the most of the space. Everything you need is provided to make your stay easy and comfortable from the milk, eggs, tea, coffee and home made (by Christine) cup cakes that were yummy! down to a bed, bowls and treats for our dog Chip. Enclosed private garden was ideal - Chip loved freely running around. There’s loads to do within a fairly short driving distance including Hubbard’s Hill, Donna Nook, Covenham reservoir and Louth to name but a few. Nearby pubs allow dogs but best to call ahead to make sure they have a table. We just wished we had stayed longer! Definitely be going back.
“Relaxing location for a perfect break”
We enjoyed a perfect break in this relaxing location. Perfect for taking our dog in such doggy friendly accommodation. Beautifully decorated and a real pleasure to stay in. So many lovely places to visit on the doorstep we were spoiled for choice. Wonderful starry skies at night to gaze up at. We will definitely be rebooking. The property is a real gem.
“Perfect pet friendly”
Really nice place to stay owner really friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble for them we had trouble with our car and they told us a local garage to start it out and Christine took us to cleethorpes and fetched us back.
“Excellent peaceful break at the pigsty”
Throughly enjoyed my stay alongside my husband and two small dogs at the pigsty excellent facilities for us all including an enclosed garden which is always a bonus for the dogs !! A nice warm welcome from Christine who showed us all we needed to know about the accommodation. Plus some very tasty cupcakes which we devoured with a cuppa after our journey from Norfolk I would highly recommend the pigsty for anyone wanting to visit the Lincolnshire wolds and surrounding areas as a good base to get to some very historical and beautiful places and of course most importantly lots of places to walk with or without dogs we just wished we had longer to stay thanks christine
“Ideal rural retreat”
Had a fantastic break at the Pigsty. Ideal location to get away from it all. Very thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. Owners are on hand but respect your privacy. Arrived to homemade cakes, very welcoming. Well located within walking distance of a pub. Will definitely return
“The Pigsty Louth”
Had a fabulous holiday at The Pigsty this week, stunning accommodation with everything you need and all finished to high quality, you could want for nothing. I could live there! What made it even more special was not only the gorgeous weather, the empty beaches but the thoughtfulness of Christine leaving fresh eggs and delicious cupcakes for us, together with bed, bowls, towels and treats for Annie too and garden safe and secure so she didn't chase the pheasants! Fabulous meal at Millhouse restaurant last night, within easy walking distance too. Will definitely recommend and will return again soon, thank you Christine and Lindsey!
“Lovely cottage, has everything you need for a fantastic holiday.”
We loved it, the dog loved it. Had a wonderful time exploring the local area. I would recommend this property to others: not something I usually do!!
“Beautiful accommodation in peaceful area”
We were welcomed by Christine, who had left us various goodies (both for humans and dogs). The Pigsty was clean, light, airy, spacious and comfortable. The location was very peaceful - it was wonderful to sit out in the garden and hear only the birdsong. It was conveniently located to visit some stunning beaches, plenty of country pubs and interesting towns. The garden was secure for the dogs and was in the sunshine most of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and came home refreshed and relaxed. We would love to visit again in the future.
“Fantastic weeks break”
What a great time we had at the pigsty. There was plenty of space for us to unwind and relax, it has a private garden with a lovely view across the countryside. This was a lovely alternative to a hotel, it was very well equipped with everything we needed, the bed was very comfy and an excellent shower. Just remember to take breakfast with you as there isn't a shop within walking distance... We ate out a couple of times at the millhouse restaurant which served great food and would recommend. Lindsey and Christine had excellent local knowledge when we wanted information, we would highly recommend "The Pigsty" and we will be coming back in the future.
