Description

Fisherman's Rest, 15a King Street is a lovely first floor apartment in beautiful Lossiemouth. Dating from 1867 it is accessed via a traditional external stone staircase from the old drying green at the rear of the property. It is beautifully furnished in coastal style with a spacious double bedroom and a gorgeous bright open plan kitchen/dining/living area. This is the ideal property for perhaps a couple looking for a total relaxing escape. It is centrally situated within Lossiemouth, and is just a few minutes walk from the harbour, marina, 2 gorgeous sandy beaches and a host of local restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. The famous Moray Golf Club with its 2 18 hole courses is just 2 minutes drive from the apartment. There are also plenty of other courses locally to keep the keen golfer happy.

Otherwise known as the 'Jewel of the North', Lossiemouth is ideally positioned to allow exploration of the beautiful Moray Firth coastline. There are countless beautiful, quiet beaches close by, with Hopeman, Burghead, Roseisle to name a few within 15 minutes drive. The coast offers a whole host of activities from sailing and fishing trips to dolphin watching and paddleboarding. There are also plenty of local woods and forests to explore such as Roseisle and Culben.

In Moray you are never too far away from a distillery - there are a whole array of Speyside malts just waiting to be tasted! You are also never too far from a piece of history. We are lucky enough to have a host of historic properties to explore with the likes of Duffus Castle, Spynie Palace and Brodie Castle all close by. If you wish to head inland for some mountain action then the majestic Cairngorm mountains are just an hours drive away.

Getting around

Whilst you would be able to have an enjoyable holiday just in Lossiemouth, a car would enable you to explore all what this fabulous area has to offer. Unfortunately as this is a rural area there is not a huge amount of public transport on offer.

We live in a village 5 miles from Lossiemouth. Whilst work and a busy family life prevents us from being able to meet all our guests, we are always very happy to give advice or suggestions for your holiday as well as help out with anything in the property if needed.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Caroline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
