Description

Groom's Cottage is a self-catering cottage in the Scottish Borders. This charming vintage-inspired holiday rental is set in the Georgian stables at Wedderburn Castle and offers traditional style with modern comforts. It is located in the countryside, but is just over a mile from the pretty village of Duns.

Downstairs there is a sitting/kitchen/dining area with open fireplace, flat-screen television, DVD player and a pine dining table. The stunning tiles on the floor were salvaged from the old dairy at nearby Paxton House and the space is full of character. The kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs there is a comfortable double bedroom with adjoining bathroom with a romantic roll-top bath. The cosy cottage has 24-hour oil central heating and hot water.

The cottage has a garden outside as well as parking. It is surrounded by the grounds of Wedderburn Castle and you are welcome to walk around the glorious parkland and woodland on the estate.
