Set in the beautiful Wye Valley, and within its own privately owned grounds and fishing lake is this fantastic waterside, modern contemporary styled fishing lodge, it offers stylish self-catering accommodation 2-4 guests. Enjoy the special waterside decked area with table and chairs for dining. There is also a fishing lake at the property.
This is a great place to enjoy the countryside, watch the birds and other wildlife, as well as to fish. There is plenty to do for family and friends in the surrounding area including visiting the glorious black mountains and nearby Malvern hills, plus the local historic market town of Hereford has much to explore and enjoy.
The lodge is aimed at taking the latest contemporary design and placing it into a unique setting. The lodge sleeps 4 adults in comfort, a main double bedroom has its own set of bifold doors that lead you onto a private glass enclosed water sided balcony, a cosy place in which to enjoy a glass of wine, a good book, or maybe just the company of a loved one as you sit directly over the waters edge. There is further sleeping for an additional two adults available on the main living room area on a leather kingsize sofa bed.
The bathroom is fully appointed with a full home comfort WC and shower. There is ample built in wardrobe space and enough storage for your belongings during your stay. The design brief of the lodge was to simply create a living space that normally cannot be expected in such a natural and beautifully unaltered English countryside setting.
The kitchen area stands in line with the rest of the lodges design, modern, well appointed, built in appliances, all housed in the latest Italian styled soft close kitchen units, a beautiful matching bespoke extractor system ensures an odour free environment.
The open plan main living area features a large set of bifolding doors, allowing the room to be flooded with natural light during the day. The huge multi segmented glass panels of the door system provide unparalleled views of the outside world from within, or if you want to bring the garden inside simply fold back the doors and let the sights, smells and sound of nature join you in the living room. Most power points throughout the lodge feature the latest USB charging features or allow for powering of your devices. A fold down dining table is situated within the living room with 4 foldaway chairs. A full modern TV and hifi package are also found in this area.
There is a natural log burner which keeps the lodge warm during the colder evenings. A large log store fully stocked with logs for the fire is situated to the rear of the lodge.
The lodge is surrounded on all sides by unspoilt nature, on one side it is gently caressed by the natural stream as it flows by, the reed beds offer sanctuary for wildlife, and offer up the lodge or its private raised decking area as a great place to enjoy the peaceful setting.
The outdoors can be enjoyed further still with an alfresco dining experience, the non-slip eco decking leads you ever so slightly upwards to a plateau placed secluded deck area complete with a dining table and seating for those wonderful times the weather dictates a meal sat over the flowing waters of the stream should never be missed. Outdoor mood lighting placed throughout the footpaths and trees shed just enough light to enchant the view of an evening, alternatively these can be turned off at the outdoor switching provided.
The fishing is varied with many specimen chubb, roach, carp plus other species enjoying the infusion of food and minerals entering from the lifeblood of the lake "the natural stream that feeds both water levels and fish stocks". Famous names from the world of angling regularly drop by to enjoy the waters. Several record breaking fish have been caught and recorded here, each being treated with respect on the strictly 'no barbed hooks' policy. During its 50 year history, the waters have been exclusively available to the very small group that run and maintain the fisherie. Guests have unlimited use of the waters for the duration of any stay.
