“AMAZING !!!”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2016

We have never stayed in such a beautifull place, from the moment you arrive the attention to detail is outstanding, eggs, milk, butter, home made brownies, the decor is stunning and everthing has been thought off, there is even washing liquid, loo rolls, dishwasher tabs soap in bathrooms which i have to say were like the rest of the house immaculate, giles the owner was charming and we will def be back, its like home from home and i am fussy when it comes to beds and bedding which was like a 5star hotel i loved the duvet so much i went to dunelm and bought the same, beautifull, views amazing, every detail has been thought of which makes this the best place we have ever stayed, i would give it 100 out of 100 if there was a score that high because there is no number that comes close to the excellent stay we had thankyou giles and fiona for a charming, beautifull stay xx

Owner's reply: That's a really kind review. Thank you. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back! G and F.

“You'll want to come back! Five star farmhouse country chic.”

We stayed two blissful tranquil weeks at Grove Farm and wished we could stay longer. Fabulous reception with little thoughtful welcome touches made us feel at home. The lovely wood stove for chilly nights in was delightful. Grove Lodge is superbly appointed; two lovely bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms, a little private yard for sitting outside and now for the best bit: Grove Farm is situated on the top of Box Hill with the most breathtaking country scenery as soon as you step out the front door and as far as the eye can see - all the way to the edges of Regency Bath in the distance (Bath city is a short car drive away if you fancy it). Be prepared to make the most of the area - take your walking shoes. The walks around Box Hill are some of the very best country walks. There are all the necessary amenities nearby and some quaint pubs and restaurants worth a visit too. The hosts - Giles and Fiona are exceptional. Super friendly, professional, ever so helpful and full of information if you desire local knowledge. You will not be disappointed. Loved every moment of our stay. Hope to go back again next year.

Owner's reply: Thank you *so* much. Brings a tear to the eye! We are delighted that you had such a successful stay in Grove Lodge and would love to welcome you all back. G and F.

“it had all that we expected plus more”

Lovely place, roomy and clean, and with all that we needed. Peaceful, and with beautiful views. A car is helpful as it is a bit out of the way. Very easy to get to Bath, and other thing of interest that that you wish to see and do. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend it to anybody.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Grove Lodge. Hope to see you again soon! G and F

“Perfect Place”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

On our first trip to England to visit the family of my son-in-law, we were able to book Grove Lodge for our stay shortly after it opened. It was everything we hoped for, and then some. Plenty of room, unbelievable sights of the British countryside, looking down the valley all the way to Bath. No nicer people to deal with than Giles and Fiona; before, during, and after our stay, communication was excellent. Would give my unconditional recommendation to anyone thinking of staying at Grove Lodge; and most certainly will be our first choice to stay if we (hopefully,) make a return trip to the area.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind review. We hope to see you soon!

“An amazing place!!”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2013

The Grove Lodge is an amazing property. I stayed there with my husband and my parents. The four of us were very comfortable in the Lodge. It is very spacious, and yet has a wonderfully cozy feeling. The decor is great - very much traditional English countryside charm, combined with modern appliances. The property, inside and out, is simply beautiful. The view from the private garden/patio is AMAZING! My husband's family lives only a short distance away, but they loved visiting the Lodge so much that it ended up being the "hang out" for most of the week! It was wonderful. The service we received from the owners, both before and during our stay, was exceptional. They even delivered more wood for the fireplace once we ran out. I travel quite often, and I've never encountered such great service. I have absolutely zero complaints, though I would say that it would be nice to have another chair or two in the living room area. We are already talking about going back! Whenever we plan to visit my husband's family in Corsham, we plan to stay at the Grove Lodge if it's available. We also received a tour of the larger Grove Barn next door, and that place is amazing as well. That could be used for a larger group.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your kind comments. It was a real pleasure to have such a nice family stay in Grove Lodge. Hope you had a great onward trip to France and we hope to see you all again very soon! G and F.
