Getting around

It is certainly best to have a car. However, there is a bus from Coldingham that goes to and from Edinburgh and to and from Eyemouth. Guests sometimes park at Dunbar station and take the train to central Edinburgh. There is also a Park and Ride on the A1 just a few miles from the city centre.

Interaction with guest

We live in Edinburgh about an hour from Coldingham so we will not be there to meet you but you will receive all the details as to how to find the cottage and how to obtain the key from the key safe. You will also have the contact number for the lady who looks after the cottage should you find anything missing etc. You will also have our telephone numbers in case of any query or any problem. There is a guest book so we would appreciate your comments on your holiday but any problems don't wait, please make contact immediately.

“Delightful cottage - perfect for a relaxing break”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2015

Delightful cottage with a lovely garden in a secluded setting. Equipped with everything needed and plenty of seating outside to relax in if the weather is good. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Thank you for your kind review which sums it up very well. We get a lot of repeat bookings so we are delighted that so many guests, like you, express the wish to return. Regards. Sally and Malcolm

“Well equipped Cottage in a great location”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2014

This cottage provided us with a warm haven during a very windy and sometimes wet winter break. Plenty of local walks and interesting places to visit.

Thank you for your review. You are right, the cottage is warm and cosy even in mid-winter

“Brilliant”

Reviewed 22 Dec 2013

Lovely comfortable cottage situated in a beautiful secluded location but within walking distance of village. Owner gave good detailed instructions on how to find cottage and explanation of key access Coldingham is a lovely area and we enjoyed the walks from the cottage, two nice coffee places in St Abbs. Also ideal location for visiting Bamburgh and Lindisfarne
