“Miss”

Loved our time at the cottage, it was very relaxing and homely. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a short drive to Alnwick and has a lovely local pub with amazing food! Would definitely recommend!

Thank you so much for your review. Come back soon for more amazing food :-)

“Excellent location, fabulous views”

Reviewed 23 May 2014

This cottage is situated in a quiet, peaceful location but within easy access to the A1 road which means you can visit various places of interest very easily. The cottage is well equipped and despite being semi-detached you cannot hear any noise at all from the cottage next door. The sofas are comfortable as are the beds and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only criticism is that the wifi does not work but the caretaker advised us that he was awaiting a new modem so this may be resolved soon. There are so many fabulous places to visit within the surrounding area that we will be returning next year and would not hesitate to book Inglenook cottage or the neighbouring cottage Outlook cottage.

“Excellent cottage and location.”

Just had a weekend at inglenook cottage and its hard to know where to start. Excellent tranquil location with cottage in its own grounds with walks from the doorstep and coastal views of Bamburgh Castle. Cottage was everything we expected and more with lovely decor and superb log fire, ideal for the cold winter nights. Fabulous bathroom with very large bath and shower to match. Would highly recommend this cottage

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location, around 15 mins North of Alnwick. Log fire was perfect for the winter season. Would highly recommend.

“A Relaxing Stay”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

Northumberland is somewhere I'd always wanted to visit and I wasn't disappointed, especially with the accommodation. This lovely little cottage is ideally set in a really lovely area not too far from some amazing places to visit, including Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses , all of these are within a short drive. The cottage itself is just lovely, well fitted out with everything you could possibly need in the way of crockery and cutlery etc. Everything is easy to use, no complicated electrical goods etc. 2 Lovely bedrooms with plenty of storage, the bathroom is beautiful and the whole place has underfloor heating making it very cosy, but if you do get chilly there's a fab wood burner. Being a city dweller all my life I found it a bit tricky at first but after your first fire you can't wait to light the next one and watch the flames roar and hear to logs crackle. The cottage is dog friendly and is perfect with some grass at the front (which I didn't let my dog on as it was perfect and didn't want to leave any 'scorch' marks), but everywhere else is gravel and flags. I will definitely be booking either this one again or the one next door which has lovely French doors so you can see across the surrounding countryside. I had such a peaceful and enjoyable time, the night skies are something to be amazed at, that in itself is worth a visit just to see the huge array of stars, I even saw a meteor!!

“Home away from home”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

The photos for this cottage really don't do it justice. It is Clean, spacious and had everything that you need for a short trip away. The log burner adds a real cosy effect while the underfloor heating keeps you nice and warm. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it! The bathroom has everything you need, really deep bath and a shower as well as being spotlessly clean. Ideal location for visiting the local area, seahouses and alnwick being a stones throw away. Also, when looking for somewhere to stay I prices quite a few cottages, this was one of the cheapest but yet was one of the best! If you are looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just want peace and quiet this is the place to stay. Will definitely return!
