Description

The cottage stands in the grounds of a grade 2 listed building and is a beautifully converted barn conversion. It features a lounge, kitchen and 2 bedrooms, each containing 2 single beds. It is set in the heart of the village conservation area, on a picturesque and peaceful lane. The kitchen and lounge both have stunning views of the open countryside.

It is within walking distance of a wide range of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shop.

It's central location close to the A1 makes it an ideal place to meet friends and family from other parts of the country.

It is within a short drive of Newark, Grantham, Lincoln and Nottingham.

If you are looking for a short break with access to walking, cycling, fishing, etc. - If you are visiting friends or family - if you are attending an event or business function or training course - if you want your homely comforts and be independent - then you have found the right place to stay.

Your hosts will greet you warmly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable.

All our visitors have found the cottage cosy, comfortable, inviting and very functional.

On arrival we will provide you with tea and coffee as well as a pack of cereals, milk, butter, bread, porridge and jams to see you through your first breakfast time.

“Clean and comfortable haven”

We recently spent 2 nights at the cottage, booking the accommodation to be near Newark for the antiques fair. The cottage was unexpectedly spacious and uncluttered. All mod cons. Above all we found it to be spotless. We received a friendly greeting from Anne and Dermot and the girls and an excited welcome from Belle and Clover. The village is small and lovely to walk around on a summer evening. After walking around the Newark showground on both days it was lovely to grab a takeaway, kick our shoes off and watch the tv having a sofa each! Later sinking into the oh so comfortable beds. The complimentary breakfast was just the thing to fuel us for the day. Thankyou Anne and Dermot for your "nothing is too much" attitude.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
