Fab barn conversion with great facilities .We especially loved the fire and extra large premium beds

Owner's reply: Thank you for the great review. I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay and the comfy beds. It is lovely to have the wood burning stove on those chilly nights - makes it even more cosy.

“Faultless Accommodation”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2015

Very warm welcome by the owner and a great hospitality basket on arrival, even included the dog. The cottage is private, comfortable, warm and exceptionally clean. The decor well executed and relaxing. The kitchen amazingly equipped and in the bathroom toiletries and beautiful towels provided. Beds comfortable with lovely linen. The local pub , the Joiner's Arms, provided fabulous food at a very reasonable price, couldn't get better service, or welcome, even though they were busy. Lots to do in the area, the Shildon Railway Colliery well worth a visit for all ages; The Roman Wall and City of Newcastle within an hours drive. I would definitely recommend this cottage

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review of your short break at Bracken Hill Farm Cottage. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and that you were so comfortable in the cottage. There is loads to do in the area with Durham sandwiched between Yorkshire, Northumberland and Cumbria. I do hope you can return sometime and look forward to hearing from you again. Ang
