A second small pet may be brought by arrangement and there would be a charge of £30 per visit which is paid on arrival
This home from home is well appointed with beautiful furnishings (complimentary WiFi, smart TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc) and guests can enjoy the private garden, with table and chairs, secure cycle shed for two bikes and BBQ. The garden can be accessed via the front door and then a two metre walk along the pedestrian path to the beach to the secure garden gate. This property comes fully furnished including all bedding and towels. Guests are provided with a complimentary seasonal Welcome Basket of local produce such as home-made jam or honey, fresh organic eggs, farm fruit juice or local beer etc. The open plan living and kitchen area is furnished with leather sofa and armchair as well as a dining table and four chairs. The bedroom is cosy with a king size-bed and ample storage for all your possessions. There is a second tv with free view.
The bathroom has separate bath and shower as well as sink, vanity unit and WC.
The apartment sits just 50 metres back from Spittal's beautiful beach and is along a pedestrian lane. It's a wonderful place for a stroll and, if you're feeling very brave, a dip in the bracing waters of the North Sea! The apartment is in a largely residential area but there are some great pubs to enjoy only a short walk away and a super friendly shop 150 metres away (try their homemade pies and chocolate cakes!) There is an excellent local bus service that takes you to the historic centre and a greater range of shops
Spittal / Berwick upon Tweed is a historic border town which has kept its individuality and charm with its small street market, family run shops and boutiques and authentic pubs and ale-houses. There are many lovely restaurants offering wonderful locally sourced produce including cheeses, game and shellfish. Enjoy exploring the Elizabethan walls or follow in the footsteps of the 20th century artist L.S. Lowry and amble along the Lowry Trail. The local theatre, The Maltings, offers many live performances and the latest films. Conveniently located for exploring both the stunning North Northumbrian coastline of Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Seahouses and the Farne Islands Seal Colony as well as the dramatic cliffs and beaches of St Abb's Head Nature Reserve and the old fishing port of Eyemouth (great for shellfish). In the immediate area you can also catch some surf at nearby Coldingham beach or don your scuba tank at the St Abb's Head marine reserve. Try your hand at salmon and trout fly-fishing on the world famous waters of the River Tweed. Visit one of the many great country houses nearby (Paxton House, Manderston House, Bamburgh) or perhaps explore the ruined remains of the great border Abbeys at Kelso and Jedburgh. Whatever your pastime be it golf, cycling, off-roading, mountain biking you'll find lots to do.
Whilst there is no private parking, on street parking is readily available with no parking charges to pay. Berwick upon Tweed enjoys fantastic direct rail links (London 3.5 hours); Edinburgh (45 mins) and Newcastle (50 mins) and a taxi from the train station will cost $10/ £7.00. There is also an extensive and affordable network of local buses for exploring the local area Including Britain's only tidal bus service to Holy Island!). The local buses approximately every 20 minutes. For guests wishing to hire a car we will be happy to assist you in arranging this with a local company.
Guests enjoy private and exclusive use of the apartment. The property is a holiday cottage and has been furnished with the needs of discerning travellers in mind.

This flat is suitable for the less mobile (one small step to front door, small step into shower, lever taps)
Guests can bring one well-behaved dog but we do ask that it be kept off furniture and out of the bedroom. A second small pet may be brought at an extra charge but only by arrangement. As you would expect the flat is a 100% smoke-free environment. We ask that you respect the property as you would your own home and leave it clean and tidy when you leave. The No.1 house rule however is to enjoy your stay and relax!
