Built from natural cob, this luxury contemporary two bedroom cottage is spacious and warm and offers complete comfort. Fantastic indoor pool and leisure complex to enjoy whilst having a relaxing holiday with family or friends at any time of year - there is also a steam sauna, well equipped gym, games room, indoor badminton court, tennis court, adventure play area etc, mountain bikes etc. Centrally located for Barnstaple, Europe's prettiest floral town which combines sophisticated shopping with the bustling atmosphere of traditional pannier markets. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs nearby together with an array of activities for all.

The master ensuite bedroom has a four poster king size bed and the second twin bedroom has full size single beds together with a lovely family bathroom. Downstairs there is a luxury fully fitted oak kitchen dining room together with a lounge with 42” LED tv and stone fireplace with wood burning stove.

Tuckers Retreat being fully centrally heated and double glazed is perfect for a family holiday or romantic break at any time of year - rest assured you will always receive a very warm welcome!

Tuckers Retreat has a wonderful contemporary oak kitchen dining room and is well equipped with all the latest appliances including fan oven,gas hob, microwave, dishwasher,washer dryer, and a dining table which comfortably seats 4 adults. The lounge has a 42” LED tv and a beautiful stone fireplace with wood burning stove whilst upstairs the ensuite master bedroom has a lovely king size four-poster bed, great for romantic breaks and honeymoons, and now features an all new luxury ensuite shower room together with a 32” widescreen lcd tv. There is also a lovely spacious family bathroom together with a twin room with full size single beds - all have super comfortable mattresses for your sleeping comfort whilst on holiday.

Just outside there is your very own enclosed bricked seating area with table, chairs and lovely countryside views where you can relax, sit back and enjoy the summer sun. Yards away there is a childrens adventure play area with many large trampolines, swings and climbing frame.

Work the body, relax the soul in the luxurious indoor under floor heated swimming pool and spa. You can enjoy an invigorating swim at one end of the pool and a relaxing massage at the other. For the more energetic there are 3 high powdered swim jets within the pool which when activated are like swimming against a strong current! There is also a fitness room to complete your work out and afterwards you can soak up the peace and tranquillity in the wonderful Tylo steam sauna. There is also a games room with pool, table tennis, air hockey & darts, indoor badminton court, tennis court and pets corner.

A range of quality new mountain bikes, adults, teenagers and childs, are now available - cycle just half a mile from Tuckers Retreat and join the famous nearby Tarka Trail - the 180 mile dedicated scenic cycling and walking route.

“Very cosy,animal friendly and well equipped.”

Lovely place to stay at and so conveniently placed to some great areas. Lovely log burner and very clean property with an outstanding indoor pool that is heated to 36 degrees. Trampolines for the children to play on and all in such a safe environment. John and Sue are very nice owners and are always on hand if needed. 2 properties also dog friendly with all beaches dog friendly from October to May.

Having stayed in a few holiday lets before I was expecting good basic comfort but this was much more. With a modern kitchen and new bathrooms it was sharp, clean and yet really cosy with comfortable beds and log burning fire. We were given a warm welcome despite our late arrival and only had to ask if there was anything we wanted. There was teabags, milk, oil and eggs as well as a fully a fully equipped kitchen. Towels were also provided. There is even an information room on the farm with leaflets and computer for planning your adventures. The indoor swimming pool was excellent as was the games room where we enjoyed table tennis. I hired a bike from the farm and cycled went down the Tarka trail which is just down the lane and over the main road. A great day out and lovely cafe at fremington quay for a well deserved tea and cake at the end. A great location with easy access to town and the rest of the county. We enjoyed days out in exmoor, the North Coast and down to Cornwall. Instow is nearby and a lovely costal village with a beach, pub and great place to watch the sunset. We enjoyed evenings at the farm, sat out with a bbq and glass of wine watching the animals, until the sunset over the fields the returned indoors to a cosy log burning fire. So peaceful and relaxing. Fantastic holiday. Plan to return next year!

We stayed here for a week as a family of 4 and we had a wonderful time as the location is so near to great beaches, long flat cycle routes, restaurants etc. On site there is so much to do so if the weather is not so great, you're able to swim in the warm pool and play badminton as well as table tennis, pool and air hockey. We have stayed in other properties in Devon but found this to be the best one in terms of activities and location.

Tucker's Retreat is ideal for a small family (3-4) and even has collapsible cot. Master bedroom has 4-poster bed and very nice en-suite with shower. Washing facilities and good size kitchen. Private garden with shared (large) fish pond. Parking right out front. Ideally located in between Barnstaple and Bideford and also the beaches. Instow beach very close. For young children there are trampolines, table-tennis, badminton, pool-table and an indoor swimming pool. Will definitely be going back - Combrew Farm is our home-from-home. John and Sue are also only too pleased to help and ensure the stay is most enjoyable.

This was our third stay in Tuckers retreat at Combrew farm and it was just as good as the first stay. Sue was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. The children loved the warm pool. It was in a great location for lots of places to visit. We will be back in the future.

We loved this cosy little cottage with its own courtyard garden and pond. Two comfortable bedrooms and two well appointed bedrooms. Cosy, warm and safe with a built in stairgate. A reclining chair in the garden would have been lovely on a sunny day to better enjoy the tinkling water and birdsong.

We had a warm welcome when arriving at the cottage. The cottages are all very comfortable and everything is provided. They are in an excellent location for travelling to places in North Devon. We enjoyed going to Appledore. We hope to return in the near future.

Everything you could wish for, beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and very we'll maintained we enjoyed another totally chilled out stay at Combrew Farm, this place really is a jewel in North Devon, Sue & John make sure your stay is so comfortable you don't want to leave! Everything is within walking distance or a short drive away. we stayed in Tuckers cottage again, lots of little extras surprise you, from fresh eggs from the chickens to biscuits to have with your first cuppa after a long journey. We took the dog this time which made the long walks even more enjoyable and when we got back we were able to relax in the jacuzzi before dinner, where else can you do this without paying top hotel prices? Superb value for money we will definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?
