“Great house in the perfect location” As a stag weekend location it was perfect. Literally 30 seconds walk to around 10 different pubs, take aways and restaurants. House itself is immaculate and very homely and easily slept 12. Owners couldn't have been more helpful in organising our stay so this place is highly recommended.
“A true gem!” The coachhouse is charming, stylish and welcoming. It was lovely to have the extra touches of toiletries and fresh flowers on arrival. Everything was fresh, clean, comfortable and cosy. Very well equipped kitchen.
It has a lovely little courtyard garden for sitting out in summer, the cottage has a cosy log fire and comfy sofa for the winter. Easy to park, quiet and tranquil location but only 5 minutes walk to either Pickering castle, steam trains or marketplace,
Lucy and Paul have created a very special place where you can really relax and feel welcome. Thank you!
“Lovely home from home property” Ideal location - perfect for trips to the seaside and walks in the North Yorkshire Moors. Very friendly owners who were very helpful and approachable. Would love to visit again!
“Great spot” We stayed here for an extended Easter with family (7) congregating from around the country. The large kitchen and main lounge were very welcome as we were able to eat and relax all together. Each of the 3 bedrooms has an en suite bathroom which was useful and the 7 beds meant all in our party could be accommodated. Despite it being rather cold outside the bedrooms & bathrooms were warm enough from the central heating and once we got the woodburner going and purchased some extra wood the large lounge warmed up too. Gill was on hand next door if we had any questions and left some lovely welcome goodies. Pickering was a great place from which to explore the area, with a trip on the steam railway to Whitby (you have to eat the world class fish & chips once there) being a particular highlight. The only things which stopped me giving The Longhouse 5 stars was the lack of WiFi and the fact that, as we had 2 cars in our party, one had to be parked on the road.
