STYLISH 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT NOTTING HILL Zone1 free Wifi
NICE SHORTBREAK IN PORTOBELLO
The flat has plenty of good points : clean, tidy, in a great area.
The owner is very communicative and did his best to arrange check in time to meet our needs which we very appreciated.
So much recommended, cheaper than hotels in the same area with the big advantage to be like at home!
Lovely one bedroom garden flat in Notting Hill close to public transport links
Perfect in every way!
This flat was perfect for our 9 day trip to London! Location, decor, art and furnishings, books, and a delightful solarium fitted with antique dining furniture, this flat has it all!
The flat is decorated with original art throughout. It is very cozy yet has distinct areas for dining, lounging with the TV and working on the computer. The solarium/dining room with outside garden was my favorite--we had breakfast there every morning at an antique dining table using Lorna's lovely bone china. There was a beautiful vase of fresh roses on the table when we arrived, plus a complementary bottle of wine.
The location allowed us to access the Tube in a three minute walk around the corner. Down the other end of the block was Portobello Road, famous for its Saturday market and antique shops, which we spent hours at. Walking a few more blocks takes you to the lovely residential Notting Hill neighborhood. And of course, you can get just about anywhere in London on the tube and bus.
The area around the flat is vibrant and young. There are amazing restaurants, galleries and shops plus you'll find fresh bread and vegetable vendors with stalls open on Portobello Road almost every day of the week. Also check out the gourmet specialty shops on Portobello--artisan cheeses, teas, etc..
We found several outstanding small restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. If you like Turkish food, check out Fez Mangal on Ladbroke--amazing flavors, delightful cafe ambiance, but get there early. For authentic Galician tapas, go to Galicia Restaurant on Portobello--almost everyone there speaks Spanish. Reservation recommended. Further down Portobello you will find Saporitalia with most patrons conversing in Italian and dining on wood fired pizza.
On my next trip to London I will definitely book this flat if available. I cannot recommend it enough! …
