“See floor plan” The location of this lovely house is really wonderful with beautiful views over the sea. For a large group (we were 8) it is wise to check the floor plan as one bedroom can only be accessed through the shared bathroom! The shower to this bathroom is very old and needs replacing...there are no locks on this bathroom either. Just a few updates would really revitalise this charming house.

“This house is fantastic, beautiful decor, well located and to die for” I booked Springfield House for my husbands 50th Birthday celebration with a group of 14 family and friends. The webiste images looked good but were surpased by the house itself. Springfield somehow managed to be homely and wonderfully equiped and comfortable yet still be beautifully decorated, chic and fantatcically located. The car park was great for all the cars (room for 8 spaces) and the teenage kids and some of the 50 year old ones too loved the snooker and games rooms. The view from the windows accross the Jurassic Coast in the morning where breath taking and just a stroll out the side gate and you were either right next to the Mariners Hotel, where they serve a great steak, or a short wander down the hill to the town and the Cobb. On Saturday we all went to Hix Oyster and Fish House again a short 10 miniute walk and were not disappointed. We also decided to arrange a caterer for both Friday night and Sunday lunch as we were such a large group and The Lyme Bay Field Kitchen cannot be praised highly enough. Book this house if you don't, you will miss, what for us, was simply the best long weekend ever.

“An idyllic retreat” My husband and i have just spent two nights away in this wonderful retreat. Set in idyllic surroundings the retreat offers the ultimate hideaway. Joy warmly welcomed us upon arrival and was an oracle of information regarding the local area. She really has thought of everything from visibility jackets complete with torches for walking to the pub to a digital photo frame and a delicious basket of homemade and local treats. An absolute gem of a place to which we will most definitely return.

“Fantastic MiniMoon!” We stayed at Hedgehog Cottage in the Acorns self-catering apartment as our mini-moon after getting married a few days earlier. Joy was very helpful in welcoming us and the accommodation was of a really high standard. We would recommend it to anyone on a weekend/ long weekend away as a mini moon or anniversary. It was completely perfect!
