“We had an amazing time and are booking to come again it was so good” We were a group of 9 friends looking for somewhere to have a get together within fairly easy reach for all. The location was geographically spot on and visually stunning. The lakes are beautiful and tranquil and the lodge itself was a perfect blend of stylish yet comfortable and very well equipped.
We couldn't have asked for more. Stephanie was great at the booking stage and John gave us some great pointers on where to go and eat & places to visit once we arrived.
Cannot fault the place and we are booking again for next year.
“Fantastic getaway for the family” Very clean and tidy property in a fantastic location on site. Overlooks the lakes with far reaching views. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. The use of the spa is a great asset and enjoyed a number of swims and treatments.
A trip into Cirencester is worthwhile but I would recommend doing an 'online shop' for groceries if you don't want to waste time doing domestic chores.
“Beautiful apartment with stunning views and great facilities.” I stayed here with my family over New Years and we had a fantastic time! The Location of Howells Mere 28 is great and with stunning views over the lake. The property itself has two double bedrooms with access to the lower balcony, one twin room with two single beds and a bedroom upstairs with a bunkbed, both located at the back of the house. There are also 3 bathrooms although only one with a shower, which we did find a bit of an issue as there were 6 of us staying. It would have been great if the two bathrooms had shower heads attached to the wall so you could also use them as a shower. The other citicism I would add, which is fairly minor, is that there is no storage in the twin room. As we had 6 adults staying, this was a bit annoying as the people in the twin room had nowhere to hang their clothes unless they used the wardrobes in one of the two double rooms. A coat hook on the back of the door would have helped a bit. We found it easy to find the house and were often lucky with parking our 2nd vehicle (there is one space provided for this property) there were quite a few visitor bays in the area so we only ended up parking at the overspill car park once. The Spa was great, i had a massage there and went swimming in the heated outdoor pool everyday. It does get quite busy at times but there are adult only session which was handy. There's a local shop although it is rather expensive. It's quite populated with other houses, I didn't realise quite how many until we arrived but somehow it never felt too busy or noisy. The owners were friendly and helpful throughout the booking and came over to show us how everything worked just after we checked in. The features in the property are all very modern, very clean and all in good working order. All in all we were very happy with this property and I think we will definitely stay again!
“Lovely house in a great setting.” Cuckoos Nest is a lovely family home on the Lower Mill estate and it has all the mod cons a family might need ( the washer dryer was especially helpful after using the pool!)
The Lower Mill estate is one of a few holiday home estates in the area and is very environmentally friendly in its design and ethos in general. It is great for people who love nature and the general area is also really good for those who like boating, fishing, etc. While there we visited The Cotswold Wildlife Park which is excellent and we also went to the Cotswold Country Park and Beach which was also good.
Whilst its a lovely place I don't think we would go back, my children (5, 7, 9 and 10) ran out of things they would like to do. None of them are into sailing or fishing etc. and not particually keen on farms (unless there happens to be a big playground there!) Magicland was good on a rainy day as was the short trip into Swindon to goto the Oasis Leisure Center..
“Perfect all round!” Stayed at Ashton House for my husband's birthday with our three daughters, their husbands and five grandchildren! The house is lovely, well furnished and superbly equipped with everything you could want. We had arranged for a chef to come and cook for us on the Saturday night and even he was amazed to find everything he needed! The bedding and towels were of a great quality and the beds very comfy.
Best of all, the superb Artspa is literally 2 minutes from the front door and was enjoyed by everyone, as were the tennis and trampoline!
If being picky, the parking is a bit of a hassle especially if your party comes in several cars and the weather is less than perfect!
“A unique experience blending nature and luxury .... intimate but spacious.” I took my 13 year old daughter and three of her friends away for a week for her 14th birthday present. It was the perfect venue for creating memories to last lifetime....for all of us!
The owners clearly take great pride in the quality of provision at their accommodation.
So much consideration has gone into creating a home away from home... and more - from the welcome champagne and chocolates, the comfortable beds and linen, the complimentary bathroom bits, the beautifully spacious and aesthetically pleasing interior and all the "mod cons".... even a basket of Easter eggs :-).
The living area is beautiful, so much room for everyone (even four teenage girls!) to find their own space. We welcomed the unfavourable weather as a chance to take advantage of staying in!
Communication with the owners is friendly and efficient and the administration/information packs set the high standard you can expect throughout your stay.
The spa access was a firm favourite - with the heated outdoor pool being especially pleasing in the freezing rain and icy winds!
If you are a nature lover it is a halcyon place, with beautiful walks from the front door and a huge diversity of wildlife living within the estate.
This accommodation really made our week something supremely special... given the opportunity I would return without hesitation.
“Lakeside retreat” We are expats who were on a 2 week break looking for a peaceful retreat between family based in Wiltshire and Gloucester and Skarv Penthouse answered perfectly to that.
Its 4 flights up and with no lift so with heavy suitcases so just be aware, but once over this challenge you are presented with a truly beautifully appointed apartment overlooking the lake, with all mod cons and amenities such as coffee pod machine, wifi and docking station, BBQ on beautiful terrace with breathtaking views over the lakes and countryside beyond, was truly a welcome haven after dashing here there and everwhere to see family and friends. We did accommodate guests for lunchtime and evening BBQ's on the terrace in between boughts of lovely British weather!
Free access to the lovely spa is a definite bonus and the owners are extremely accommodating nothing is too much trouble.
If you are looking for a family friendly home away from home with lovely amenities on site (spa, lakes, kayaking, tennis, kids playground, restaurant/take away) in stunning Cotswolds surroundings then this is the place for you! Thank you to Suzanne and Ian for a fabulous time back in the UK, we shall return!
“Homely, relaxing and fun weekend away with friends” Our stay in Howells Mere 48 was lovely. I have stayed at the park in a different home before which was a really lovely experience. This experience equalled if not exceeded my expectations. Being the organiser of this trip, I think what did it for me was the great customer service.
On the date of arrival we were met and introduced to the waterpark. All our questions were answered and really welcomed. We had a few cars and great advice was given on how to make parking easier. We were also talked through various different walking routes and things we can do in the surrounding area. Thank you to Cotswolds Spa Holidays for dealing with our booking and accommodating our needs. We were provided with all the information we needed including maps and facility details. The whole process from booking through to end of stay was so stress free and easy. Really made our stay that much more enjoyable.
The property was great, really clean, tidy. The kitchens and bathrooms were spotless. Very happy and no complaints what so ever.
In the evenings the feel in the cottages was lovely. Really warm and the log fires were incredible. A great break away from London.
To be honest there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was just great in all respects. Loved the fact that there was a spa and we all got to use the facilities.
Thanks again and will definitely be booking again soon.
“Fabulous birthday weekend” just returned from a fantastic weekend with friends to celebrate a big birthday. We were accomodated in the 2 properties both of which were clean & comfortable, with beautiful bedrooms & bathrooms. Each property had it's own character & gave us the flexibility we needed for a large group while 27 gave us the large table & seating we needed when all together. Many of the group enjoyed the pool & gym, but with the unusually fantastic weather for Feb,we had some great walks in the park & along the Thames Path. (didn't see any beavers but were interested to see the evidence of their existence) There is still some building going on on the other side of the lake but the builders didn't work over the weekend so didn't disturb us & it looks like those buildings should be complete soon. All in all the properties were perfect for us & Kasha & John made it very easy.
“Fantastic house and location,” We booked to meet up with some friends for my sisters Birthday. 8 adults and five small children. The house was perfect and in a great location with lots to do. Liz was very helpful and sent through lots on the local area. I would recommend a visit.
“lovely property in a great location” Harrier Lodge was the ideal place for me, my husband and 3 teenage children to stay for my birthday weekend. Looking out onto Clearwater lake from the dining area and our bedroom was so relaxing. It's great to watch swans gliding along as you tuck into your breakfast.!
The lodge sleeps up to 9, so there were enough rooms for the children to have a room each. It is clean, comfortable and modern, and attractively furnished. I would say if 8 or 9 people stayed there, seating would be a little limited, as the dining table seats 6, and the sofas would only acommodate 6. (there is one armchair in addition to the 2 sofas)
I think the size was ideal for our size party.
We had a warm welcome from Jamie, the care-taker, who had turned the lights and heating on, and put on some music for our arrival. He visited soon after we arrived, and gave us passes for the spa.
We made good use of the spa which was a very short walk away. I indulged in a massage, as well as using the pool, and my sons were delighted to have access to the gym.
There is a shop and cafe on the estate, but unfortunately was closed. However. this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the weekend.
If you book Harrier Lodge, don't forget to pack teabags, sugar and coffee as the only thing provided was salt..
We would love to return during the warmer months and have a barbecue!
“Totally relaxing, this is the way to unwind” fabulous property with great view over the lake. The grandkids loved feeding the ducks and fish from the balcony. There was plenty to do for all ages. Jamie Moon was very friendly and welcoming. We would love to return next year.
The beds are a bit low for a 72 year old !
“Great property, wonderful location for exploring the Water Park & Cotswolds” From my first enquiry regarding the property, Cotswolds Spa Holidays were very responsive and extremely helpful. They provided precise instructions and directions in good time for our long weekend away for a family gathering. The house was perfect for 10 adults and 2 teenagers. Stunning, impressive and spotless, the property has everything you would want and is beautifully furnished. The spa facilities are also excellent. In addition The Water Park has lots to offer for everyone - - very impressive place and I highly recommend it.
“it was what the brochure says it is marvelous.” Top class accomadation clean and well equiped.Key safe was a good idea when there is a party of nine. The spa was verey clean and had very good facilities. The help to settle in was very good and help was at the end of the phone. The top bedroom could do with some wardrobe space and a mirror.
“We came home feeling refreshed, restored and relaxed.” We wanted a few days away together to wind down and relax. There was bags of room for us as Cornerstone sleeps 8. Beds are comfortable and the spa bath is a bit of a treat. Kitchen facilities are good and we cooked an English breakfast in the mornings and sat on the verranda in the sunshine to eat. We spent several hours walking around the Estate, the weather was fantastic and the wildlife was interesting including seeing where beavers had been. We spent a long evening watching House Martins flitting around the building opposite. For evening meals we found a pub nearby with fab food and a selection of real ales. Cornerstone is also near enough to Swindon for discount shopping.

House was brilliant and we used the swimming pool and restaurant, all of which were well maintained. Office satff very helpful as was the mobile contact.
Great nature trail and field to play in
Only slight downside to stop me rating this 5 star was the parking as you only get one space per house, also a lot of flies around due to being so close to the lake. …
28 Howells Mere, Lower Mill Estate

Gorgeous house, lovely estate and the sun was shining so we made full use of the outdoor pool at the spa and the lovely outside space of the house. Would thoroughly recommend, plenty of room for 8 adults. …
Cornerstone_Cottage, Lower. Mill. Estate, Detached, near facilities but quiet
Great for families or couples!
We’ve stayed at Cornerstone on three separate occasions and it has never disappointed! We love the cosy cottage feel but still plenty of space. The patio is great for al fresco dining with a great bbq. We stayed here this time with another family and the setting is ideal. The Spa is 5 star and recently refurbished. Great for families or couples. …
Just arrived back from a long weekend with my extended family to celebrate my a 70th birthday. I have nothing but praise for the house and would highly recommend.
The setting is beautiful, peaceful and family friendly. With the house been extremely private. The inside is spacious, clean and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possible need. On top of this it's all wonderful quality so a pleasure to use.
There were 3 generations staying and the house was suitable for all, with loads of storage.
We had plans to go out and about to explore the local area, but never left the estate. It was so child friendly and safe the the older child could go off cycling on their own and we were happy to leave the bikes out on the patio just lent against a wall when not in use. We walked, played on the lovely parks, football pitches and trampoline. But where we spent most of time was in the pools. These are large, clean and family friendly.
If you are looking to relax and enjoy everyone's company with ease this is the place to do it. …
