This contemporary property, situated in Clearwater Village on Lower Mill Estate, is furnished to a high standard and extensively equipped to cater for family gatherings to satisfy everyone in your party and to enhance your enjoyment throughout the duration of your stay regardless of the weather. It is afforded access to the exclusive spa.

Comprising five bedrooms and four shower/bathrooms making it ideal for either family groups or couples. At 170m2, arranged over three floors and offering flexible accommodation this fully gas centrally heated property offers 5 bedrooms, 2 en-suite (one with bath and one with shower) incorporating fitted oak wardrobes with 2 further flexible family/children’s bedrooms, 2 family shower rooms. The fifth bedroom converts into a cinema room with an overhead projector.

A major feature of the property is its favoured position on the west bank of the lake with unobstructed west facing views over the lake to the rear of the property and affording views over Somerford lagoon to the front.

Fitted out in a sleek contemporary uncluttered style with oak flooring & oak wardrobes throughout and benefiting from wireless broadband, iPod docking station and X Box connect, Apple TV, Chrome cast, Bose docking station.

First Floor

Lounge

The open plan first floor double storey height lounge at the rear of the property has full width panoramic double glazing.

Relax in front of a large 42 inch TV with Xbox, apple TV, Chrome Stream, Sky sports and kids channels on a 3/4 seater large leather, and 2/3 seater, chaise lounger, large armchair sits 1/2 , 2 bean bags. Take in floor to ceiling uninterrupted views or venture through two secure, sliding patio doors (onto a full width private south west balcony with a spiral staircase leading to the ground floor

Balcony

The covered balcony, accessed though secure patio doors at the rear of the property, has a cocktail table and a pair of bar stools for a couple to take some fresh air without too much effort.

Kitchen

The modern kitchen, at the front of the property, comes complete with quality granite worktops and lots of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.There is plenty of cupboard space, a fridge freezer, 5 gas burner stove incorporating central wok burner, electric fan oven and microwave all complimented by a limited selection of cookery books should you wish to experiment on your other guests. A dishwasher takes care of the washing up, and there is a washing machine for your laundry (A tumble dryer is available on the ground floor).

Dining Area

The open plan dining area accommodates 10 guests at the spacious oak dining table with 6 oak chairs (supplemented by 2 further versatile oak benches for accommodating the remaining guests) with views through the lounge to the lake.

Terrace (part covered)

The terrace, at the rear of the property, provides an opportunity to dine alfresco or just relax with a drink or a book where you will surely be enchanted by the resident wildlife and the spectacular views.

Marble table and 8 rattan chairs can be complimented with further chairs as required.

Master bedroom leading onto the lakeside decking with safe glass balustrade

The Master bedroom, at the rear of the property, has full width glazing and overlooks the lake across the terrace, which can be accessed through the full height glazed patio door.

There is a 6ft double bed with wardrobe cupboards either side of the bed and a premium 32″ LCD television on the opposite wall.

The en-suite bathroom incorporates full length bath, basin, WC, heated towel rail, shaver point & mirror.

A travel cot can be provide in this room, if required.

Second Bedroom – Twin Bedroom

This bedroom is at the front of the property and is fitted out with twin single beds and a wardrobe cupboard.

An additional “Z” bed can be provided for this room by arrangement for the 2nd child.

Third Bedroom,This bedroom, at the rear of the property, is ideal for families, provides some flexibility with the sleeping arrangements, has full width glazing and overlooks the lake across the terrace, which can be accessed through the full height glazed patio door.

There is a 4ft 6″ double bed with a single bunk bed over and a wardrobe/cupboard that also houses a condensing tumble dryer.

Second Floor/Fourth Bedroom/ This bedroom has a vaulted ceiling incorporating a glazed roof light with two further windows one to the side of the property and direct access to Jack and Jill shower room shared with bedroom 5.There is a 6ft double bed with generous wardrobe space.

“House stay at Christmas”

Fabulous house, plenty of room for 10 people staying with 5 double bedrooms and 4 bath/shower rooms, lovely to overlook lake and to feed the swans/ducks, excellent family Christmas, nice sized kitchen for cooking Christmas dinner, family enjoyed walks from house and use of swimming pool, heated outdoors was a particular hit in the middle of Winter! Would definitely stay again.

The property was just what we were looking for in regards to our catch up weekend with a few new little additions to the group in the form of babies ... a great size, lovely and clean and well located in the complex just 5 minutes walk from the pool and pub! Would certainly recommend :-)

Great weekend at Velvet lodge. Excellent facilities to accommodate the 10 of us. The house was large enough to feel comfortable for so many of us. The house was in an excellent position with plenty of areas to sit outside & enjoy the fresh air and surrounding countryside. The house was clean, well equipped & I would have no hesitation in recommending it to other large groups. Information prior to arrival was again excellent and ensured we could make the best of our time at the property.

During February half term myself and my extended family organised a 4 night break to the Cotswold's staying at Velvet Lodge. The lodge itself was spacious, well equipped and set on a beautiful lake. The views took in both sunrise and sunset and although the weather was freezing (the lake actually froze over) we were able to go for lots of walks around the park. The youngsters were kept entertained by the x box, the movie room and the swimming pool. The lodge is a very sociable house and was big enough for our large family and dog. The swimming pool was perfect to tire out the children and although busy (due to school hols) was exactly what we wanted to keep ourselves busy. Unfortunately the heated outdoor pool was closed due to being the winter months as that would have added to the experience! The organisation of the rental was extremely efficient and emails were answered immediately this ensured the whole process was stress free. Would thoroughly recommend the lodge and the location is perfect to explore the cotswolds area.

We needed space for all the family to meet up to celebrate a birthday. Six adults and four children stayed here with comfort. Lovely home and the owners were kind enough to cater to our last minute questions and requests with no fuss at all. Super home on a super estate.

A great place to stay with family or friends. The house was well stocked with essentials and it was in the perfect spot to access the spa, tennis courts, walks, lakes etc. It was very clean and spacious. The owner gave us some great tips on what to see and do and was very helpful.

We arrived on the Friday night so it was dark, got inside the house one word WOW! In the morning the views from the balcony amazing peaceful beautiful place, grounds spa all beautiful, if you get a chance you must stay at this little piece of heaven!

A wonderful 4 Bed roomed house in a lovely serene surrounding. The Spa facilities are immaculate, the swimming pools delicious to swim in even during late October! A wonderful weeks stay was had by all in our party! Including two little ones of 2.5 years old!

We were a group of 9 friends looking for somewhere to have a get together within fairly easy reach for all. The location was geographically spot on and visually stunning. The lakes are beautiful and tranquil and the lodge itself was a perfect blend of stylish yet comfortable and very well equipped. We couldn't have asked for more. Stephanie was great at the booking stage and John gave us some great pointers on where to go and eat & places to visit once we arrived. Cannot fault the place and we are booking again for next year.

The house was a real treat, being warm, clean and very comfortable with a lovely view from the back windows of the property. The upside down layout worked really well and makes the most of the property. Comfortable beds, lots of hot water and all the mod cons and electrical gadgets you could need. We had a truly lovely weekend and the use of the spa was an added bonus.
