“Fantastic accommodation in a fantastic location!” We have recently returned from a short break at Taymouth Marina. We were met by Grace who showed us to our apartment and couldn't do enough to help. The apartment itself was very modern and luxuriously furnished. We chose a ground floor apartment because it had a hot tub, with fabulous views over loch Tay and the hills beyond. The beautiful village of Kenmore is only a 10 minute walk away, where there is a pub, bistro, Courtyard shop and other amenities, including a golf course. This was our second visit to Kenmore and our first to Taymouth Marina but it certainly won't our last.
“Top Quality house beside Loch Tay” We loved the view of Loch Tay in the mornings (with a cuppa in bed) and the sunsets with dinner were a treat. There is a great little log-burning fire in the living room, very relaxing and warm in the evening. The cottage is very well equipped, so nice to have a dishwasher and everything you need in the kitchen, good quality pans. The bathroom has a modern power shower with both handheld and rain style heads and there's the option of a boost to the hot water. The heated towel rail gives you nice warm towels (the supplied towels are good). We had wondered whether traffic noise would be a problem for the front double bedroom, but Kenmore seemed quiet at night so there was nothing to be concerned about. There is a twin bedroom at the back, which is probably very quiet as there are just trees and grass behind the house, but we didn't use it as there was just the two of us. The front porch is useful for wet stuff if you come in from the rain and both coat rail and boot rack are provided. We had easy and quick communication with the owner, who is very helpful and gave useful advance info about shopping etc. There are walking maps and lots of tourist info in the living room drawers. The location is excellent for exploring on foot, by bike or boat. E-bikes and boats can be hired just 100 yards opposite and quite a few visitors bring paddle boards. We recommend a visit to the Crannog, 10 mins walk away, a day cycling up Glen Lyon, The Falls of Acharn, The Birks of Aberfeldy, and Kenmore Hill. And several Munros are within easy reach.
