“Perfect, home from home, ideal location, quiet yet close enough to everything you will need.” Our recent trip to Brighton was an extended Birthday celebration with my partner and a group of friends and family. Rose (the property owner) was extremely helpful and accommodating from first contact right through until after our stay. The house is a perfect retreat within two minutes walk of the Lagoon, a small newsagents, a cafe, a fishing shop, a pub, a 24 hour garage and probably more if we had ventured any further on foot. Westdene is set on a quiet residential street about 3 miles out of the centre yet this is still only a cheap bus ride or taxi from the Pier and other central attractions, it guarantees a peaceful nights sleep yet is not so far away that it feels like much of a journey into the bustling centre. The house itself is very well presented with ample space and lovely furnishings, it has a relaxing atmosphere and everything you will need for a short or long stay. Despite being a relatively large group we never felt cramped in the house and utilising the large garden whilst the sun was out made for a very enjoyable stay. Westdene offers a drive for one car and the street it is situated on has no parking restrictions and we comfortably parked several cars close to the house. I would definitely recommend the house and the location and thanks again to Rose for making the whole process simple and efficient.
“Excellent facilities, ideal location, photos do not do it justice.” 30 of us had a fantastic 3 night stay in this lovely house. The facilities were exactly as advertised with the large number of en-suites being a real selling point. The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the booking process and the house was well presented on arrival, they even set the hot tub up which is not normally on in the winter.
With the beach just across the road, a bus stop outside and a large supermarket a short walk away we could not have asked for a better location. Both kitchens were well equipped and there was seating for all of us around the dining table. This is the 4th year we've done New Years away and this house was a complete winner. Thank you so much!
“What a great base for a week in Brighton!” The beach hut apartment was the ideal Hove base for a trip to Brighton. A stylish, well equipped apartment with everything we needed for a great week. Far enough out, but close enough to town.....a 3-min stroll to the sea.....close to shops/restauarants/bars. Perfect and thoroughly recommended!
“What a great place the Balcony Apartment is - we had such a good time!” We stayed in the Balcony Apartment with two children aged 8 and 10. It was such a great experience. It is situated in Hove, close to the beach. Hove is a lovely quieter version of Brighton. Gorgeous shops, coffee shops and restaurants - to cater for ervybodies taste. The apartment is situated in a perfect spot: quiet side street, view of the sea from the great balcony (there is two - so you always catch the sun that is there), a big Tesco within a stonethrow and everything else within walking distance.
The apartment itself is very tastefully furnished, lots of lovely little details and fresh flowers and some basic food to welcome you.
If one wanted to find something to tell the landlady to improve on there wouldn't be much, really. Perhaps to add a few more plates and cultlery - but that is really all.
She was very helpful and forthcoming - we had a great stay and will come back!
I don't usually take the time out to review properties I have stayed in on Trip Advisor (due to time constraints!), but I just had to for The Beach House.
I booked this property for my best friend's hen weekend as we wanted a large property for up to 22 guests, that was close to Brighton... and it was truly brilliant. The house is in a prime location in Hove, with great views overlooking the seafront. It's clean and homely, with plenty of space and facilities. There are two kitchens, great dining, lounge and bedroom space - with ensuite facilities. There's also off road parking for 5-6 cars. My friend and all of the guests absolutely loved it and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. …
Westdene - a home from home and so very close to the beach.
Lovely Memories to take home with us..
The facilities at Westdene were great, the best way of describing it would be you had packed everything including the kitchen sink arrived and anything and everything we could have needed was there.
The location was lovely, a short drive tot he centre of Brighton where my wife and eldest daughter took full use of the great shopping facilities.
Parking was easy if you have a car. Was good to know you could park the car of the street when returning in the afternoon or evening.
Rosemary and Joanne have put this house together with such a welcoming feel I will be recommending it to anyone whoo says their thinking of going to Brighton in the future.
Lovely trip, great memories and a fantastic house... …
A week of bliss
Enjoyed a great weeks stay at the balcony apartments, ideally situated in laid back Hove perfectly placed for dipping your toe in the more hectic waters of Brighton. Well laid out and tastefully decorated the outside space was a bonus. Fiona and her mum were stars on the hospitality front. …
The Beach Hut Apartment
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!!
This is a great flat within a minutes walk of the Hove sea front.
The flat is furnished to a high standard and has everything you need. Fiona (the owner) is lovely and had everything ready for us and couldn't have been more helpful.
There is a garage, parking and a lovely garden complete with deck chairs, a BBQ and table and chairs for outside dining.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Brighton/Hove area, you'll find this place hard to beat.
Highly recommended. …

Good value, easy access to city centre and plenty of space
Good value, easy access to city centre and plenty of space. The title says it all really. Only downside was that the patio door didn't open because there's scafolding up at the moment. …
