“Lovely, comfy, and well-equipped cottage, in a perfect location” We travelled to Fuzzy Duck cottage in Heacham from Nottingham, with our three kids (10, 7 and 18 months) and had a lovely week there.
The cottage, was in perfect condition when we arrived, and the welcome hamper was a great surprise! Everything we needed was supplied already, and the kids made themselves at home in no time.
The location is perfect for Hunstanton, Sandringham, Castle Rising, RSPB Titchwell and the kids loved The local soft play centre.
The local chippy serves great Fish and chips, and the nearby Tesco is ideal for picking up supplies.
All-in-all we would definitely recommend Fuzzy Duck cottage to everyone!
“Very comfortable with all mod cons” This caravan is nearly new and offers great facilities including double glazing, central heating and Freeview - a long way from our caravan experience when the kids were younger. Good location on the park (quiet but close to amenities). A friendly welcome from the owner.
“Lovely cosy cottage.” Great cottage in a lovely location, very quiet and peaceful yet amenities very close. A Tesco express and Mc calls, a chip shop, Indian Spice restaurant ( very good) or take away, three pubs close by. The beach is a steady 20 minute flat walk away, north beach and south beach, both have a little cafe where you can have a drink and a bite to eat. Both have car parks if you prefer to drive down.( few minutes drive). Hunstanton , Old Hunstanton, Sandringham house and woodlands are all worth a visit.
The cottage itself is very well equipped , it has a cosy feel , tastefully decorated and feels quite spacious with the living room /dining room, two double bedrooms and a single, (which could easily accommodate a small double bed). The bathroom is downstairs with a great shower (powerful and always a good temperature. The private enclosed garden was great for the dogs and lovely to sit in.
We enjoyed our stay.
This sleepy, seaside village situated in the Wash in Norfolk is a real treat for the eyes, with golden sunsets and scarlet poppy fields as far as the eye can see. Book your next holiday rental in Heacham for a heady visual experience that you won't soon forget.
Named for its 12th century overlord, Geoffrey de Hecham, this quaint village still has strong ties to its local history, with village life strongly centred around the 13th century Church of St Mary.
Beach lovers will adore the east coast views across the Wash, but the real showstopping sights here are the flower fields of fragrant lavender and blood red poppies, popular with photographers. Hit the flower fields as the sun sets for a truly enchanting sight.
What to do
Spend a day on the beach! Dogs are welcome, so why not take the pets out for a walk? The south side of the beach tends to be quieter, so it may be better for the dogs. The North side is very popular, and well-served by little shops and cafes along the front.
Top Heacham travel tips
Car parking can get very congested at the South end of the beach at peak times, so if you're visiting in the summer you may prefer to visit the North end; or you can park there and walk down to the other end, enjoying the scenic views on your way!
For an idyllic village getaway, look no further than Heacham. Book a holiday rental in Heacham and enjoy the stunning coastal views.

“Cosy cottage for a winter warming Break”
We had a wonderful 5 day break at Pollywiggle Cottage, it was our first holiday with our 5 month old puppy and the safe enclosed garden was a real bonus.
Pollywiggle Cottage is a superb little gem in the middle of Heacham the location is just perfect for all local amenities pubs and beaches all literally on your doorstep.
The parking was a little tight some days due to other parked cars from neighbouring properties but we managed.
The bathroom is downstairs and this was the only downside we found to the property as after a few drinks a trip down the steep stairs in the middle of the night was quite scary especially with a puppy in tow.
We were blessed with really wonderful weather for November and we enjoyed lovely dog walks around the local area and along the coastline daily.
After a full day out it was so nice to return to a cosy warm cottage with plenty of hot water.
The cottage was very well equipped, the owners have really tried hard to think of everything.
The kind gesture of wine and chocolates was also a really nice touch.
Thank you …
