“Country Perfection with London and the South Coast nearby” Despite the snow, the warmth of Carol's greeting plus the underfloor heating made it feel like summer. The large apartment had every convenience, and the view over the Surrey Hills immediately put us in a holiday mood. With convenient trains to London and the South Coast just minutes away, it would be ideal for either an energetic or a relaxing stay. Everything was as advertized, and scrupulously clean throughout. Thank you Carol. We shall Return!
“Cosy cottage” Enjoyed our second stay in this lovely cottage in Shalford. The cottage has a lovely homely feel and the welcome pack left by Joanne was a great start to our stay. We tend to use the trains to travel into Guildford or London and the cottage is ideally situated for the railway station.
“Great for a weekend with friends” Myself and 7 other friends stayed at this house for a long weekend in November.
The owners were very polite and welcoming. The lady who looks after the house was on hand to help us settle in.
The house was clean and within easy reach of the town centre. It was also very spacious!
Will be booking again for next year :)
“Such an amazing place!” I hired Beaufield Mews to stay in over the duration of my Wedding. I was getting married at my parents house locally but didn't want to be staying on site. I absolutely fell in love with this apartment, and it felt like home instantly. It was a really flexible space as not only was I staying there, and my Husband once were married, but my Bridesmaids came over for a pre wedding dinner and relaxing evening, then they were there for the getting ready on the morning of the Wedding too. It was perfect. And so peaceful. I struggled to sleep the first night due to pre Wedding nerves and ended up sitting at 3am with a cup of tea, with the french doors open overlooking the river. The apartment is very luxurious and really well equipped. It was very well stocked with Tea/Coffee and even more than just the basics.
I cannot recommend it highly enough. Everyone who came there whilst I was staying there was so impressed. Thank you.
“Beautiful barn surrounded by lovely village” Had a girls weekend away here recently and we absolutely loved it. The barn is beautiful, very homely with large wooden beams - with lovely linen as well. Nice to get out of London but not too far away to get to on a Friday after work as well. Lots of nice woodlands to enjoy some nice walks as well and a proper warm fire to come back to. Would highly recommend this!
“Party of 7 (3 bedroom option) - We all love Love LOVED Great Tangley Manor!” The whole process, from booking, arriving, staying and leaving was easy (well as easy as leaving such a lovely house can be!). Nicho kept us well informed and provided all the information we could possibly need during our stay. We can think of nothing they could have done better. Nicho and the owners made us feel very welcome and the tour was very interesting. Maybe this is why we all settled in and felt at home straight away. For a large house it feels surprisingly cosy. There were 3 young children in our party and they found the house fascinating. This presented us with a problem getting them to leave the house for days out and whilst out, there was the constant, 'Are we going back now?' so my advice to parents is make it easy on yourself and don't bother to leave the house! There are so many things to wax lyrical about; the great setting, the fascinating history (especially sitting in the dining room with its panels from the Armada and big window you feel like you are sitting in a ship), the kitchen with the modern glass house and how it doesn't feel at all at odds with the more historic parts, how much fun it was rustling up family dinners in the lovely kitchen, the grandeur yet comfortable ambience of every room. We feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to stay in such a place. We are veterans of the Landmark Trust properties and this just blew them all away. It had all the 21st century comforts yet didn't compromise the historic aspect. The only downside is a week later we are still pining for the Manor.
“A gentle adventure on the Wey” We really enjoyed our short break aboard Stepping Stones. It was our first canal boat holiday and were glad that owners Ray and Julie showed us the ropes and took us through the first lock. The boat was very comfortable and well equipped for the four of us. There was plenty to keep the kids (aged 9 and 12) busy working the locks and everyone we met was friendly and full of helpful advice for us novices. We had great weather, the ever changing scenery was beautiful (and/or interesting) and the wildlife was fantastic. We would throughly recommend this holiday to anyone who is looking for a gentle adventure!
