“A snug convenient cottage.” Three of us stayed in the cottage over a long weekend. Meredith gave us a friendly welcome and showed us round. The cottage had been pre-stocked with eggs, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and so on. It is very well furnished with

“Fabulous Place to Stay” This cottage is fantastic - best two nights sleep I have had in ages and nothing was lacking. Personal touches around the cottage have been made by the owner to make sure the place has a "loved" feel about it - it feels like a

“Perfect position, with all the home comforts” Surprisingly spacious, very well equipped and a perfect position for walking into Town, and as a base for further afield. Good to have off road parking and a sunny courtyard to relax in. One tip though,

Moonstone Cottage (1790), Central Glastonbury
Charming homely cottage great central location for all attractions

Just near footpath to the Tor, around the corner from the Main Street, this gorgeous cottage is spotless. Katarina, the owner, made us feel very welcome, and has thought of everything you might possibly need, even earplugs in the bedroom (though there was no discernible traffic noise with front windows closed). The kitchen is well equipped, the garden a lovely retreat with lighting features at night, and the raised patio at the bottom of the garden overlooks the abbey gardens, with comfortable seating, parasol and seat pads provided. An umbrella is by the door, and rain ponchos for emergencies! The rooms are well furnished, with local artists' work and pictures of local landmarks on display. The living room has a vast collection of books, DVD's local maps and guides, and CD player. The bunk bedded room has toys and lego for children, and there are board games and soothing CD's downstairs. The cottage has central heating but we found it quite warm without it on. There are plenty of eating places and takeaways nearby, or everything you need to cook at home. I really loved this property.see more
Avalon Cottage. A three bedroom 4 star home close to Glastonbury town centre.
Home form home - just perfect!

The cottage is a stone's throw from Glastonbury town centre on a quiet road and has a parking space. The only downside to location for some people - elderly or infirm - may be the fact that the cottage is on a hill and there is a bit of a climb walking back from town. The said everything about the cottage is just perfect. All rooms are a good size and there's even a sofa in the dining room if you want a quiet space away from the lounge where the the TV is - we were a family of 3 with a teenage son so TV and/or music was on a lot! The lounge and indeed the whole cottage was an oasis of calm and the french windows from the lounge to the courtyard where a bonus The beds were very comfortable and the duvets were superb quality though a bit too much for us in the hot weather. That said we did sleep very well here. We love Glastonbury and will definitely go back to Avalon Cottage to explore the town and Somerset further. As well as having a wonderful experience in the cottage I can't praise Barbara enough for her communication throughout the booking process. We have had numerous self catering holidays in the UK over the years and I don't think I have had such comprehensive and helpful communication from any host. So thank you Barbara - we will be back!see more
Glastonbury Centre Location
Home Away from Home

Absolutely home away from home! And being we were far from home (United States) so much appreciated. And even though Lynda was out of town during our stay she stayed in touch to ensure we had everything we needed. Also prior to our arrival she never failed to respond so kindly to all our inquiries. Thanks so much for making our trip so comfortable and memorable!see more
Glastonbury Rose
lovely, welcoming, comfy well equipped base for our holiday.

We had a great welcome and midweek stay at Rose Cottage. it was lovely for our daughters to be able to stroll off and browse the shops alone, we walked up to the Tor from the house quite easily(the distance was easy; not the hill :) ). Despite the weather being grotty we went to Clarks village and to Wookey Hole and even popped down to Weymouth for the afternoon and had a great family holiday. The gluten free bread from the bread shop was lovely and the gluten free fish and chips on a Thursday night from the chippy were really special! Thanks to Meredith and John for the menus; it was lovely being lazy and having takeaways!! The Thai/ Malaysian selection at the Oriental chef was scrummy. The beds and linen were sumptuous and Meredith's provisions were so generous we didn't have to go out buying basics. We were concerned about the car parking, but always managed to park within easy walking distance. The girls loved the details and attention given to every part of Rose Cottage.see more
