“An amazing place to stay!!” Such a lovely place! Absolutely immaculate, equipped with everything you need and more to make your stay enjoyable and hassle-free. It is on a main (ish) road, but you can't hear anything inside the cottage nor in the back garden. I stayed on my own (with my bike - for which there is a secure shed) but I will definitely come back with kids and hubby! And Andrew the owner is extremely helpful, accommodating and replies promptly to emails. (Oh and great location too, off Penrith and 4.5miles from Ullswater lake)

“Lovely spacious house - great for large families” 5 adults and 5 children stayed here for a week in July. House is spacious and bright. The kitchen had everything a family needs. Kids had a great time playing in the garden and the hot tub. It’s ideally located just off the motorway but in a peaceful area. There is a local pub just a short walk, which has good food, outdoor marquee and a good kids play area outside. The only issue we had was the showers but the owner was helpful and attempted to have these fixed whilst we were there. Wouldn’t hesitate to return to the house.

“A fantastic experience!” Cliburn signal box is a beautifully restored property in a fantastic area. The property has been restored to a very high standard and includes everything you require for the overall experience. Very quirky and very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasure staying, the views from the signal box were stunning and even the neighbouring chickens and ducks were very welcoming. There is a lovely calm and relaxing feel to the property and a continuous warmth from the under floor heating. Even though we had cold temperatures and snow we were very warm and cosy. We loved it so much we are returning in july and any other opportunity we get. 10 out of 10 from us!

“2 nights away.” Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time at widewath farm. It's a great little barn conversion. Very welcoming people. Any problem at all was remedied straight away. I highly recommend staying here to explore the local area. Fantastic. Thank you again!
