“Beautifully presented apartment with perfect harbour vantage point.” We had an excellent holiday with our two children aged 7 and 2. The property is immaculate, child friendly, homely and with excellent attention to detail. Dunbar itself is a charming town and, with easy access to Edinburgh and the surrounding coast and countryside, makes for a great base for a family holiday. We enjoyed days on the beach at nearby Gullane, and North Berwick, a visit to the nearby national museum of flight and excursions to Edinburgh Zoo and Brittania. The children loved the leisure pool which is about 200 metres from the apartment.

“Lovely hone from home” We loved our stay at the cottage, it had absolutely everything required to make our stay perfect, the owners have thought of every possible requirement. The weather was also amazing meaning we could make use of the lovely secure, dog friendly garden. Make sure to visit the The lobster van at Fenton Barns, the food is incredible. We will definitely be back as the cottage is an ideal location for visiting local beaches, golf courses and villages

“Really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return.” Great location able to walk to everything that we needed. View could only be bettered if we'd been on a higher floor. Had its own parking place which is a real plus in North Berwick. Make sure you understand how the lift operates.

“Wonderful apartment, superb location” We had a great week in North Berwick, staying in this luxurious aprtment. Every kitchen utensil and piece of equipment that we needed, comfortable beds, great big TV to watch the Commonwealth Games (when we weren't there in person ;-)). Centrally located, we walked everywhere, including up the Law, to the station, to the beach and harbour etc. Really enjoyed local restaurant Osteria, Rocketeer restaurant and the new ice cream parlour on the corner opposite. A great week, only possible due to the most fantastic apartment!

“stunning views beautiful apartment” Great apartment. There for a green weekend. Stunning views of the beach and sea from gorgeous bay window. All rooms great size with very comfy beds. The kitchen and living room area was great for a large group to get a takeaway and eat and socialise.

“Lovely Sea” Chelmsford House was a really nice place to stay. The Sea is directly in front of the door. North Berwick has everything you need and Edinburgh isn't that far. The owners are very friendly people. Scotland is one of the loveliest places in the world!

“So much better than a 5 star hotel” I brought a team of 5 sound and lighting professionals through to East Lothian to create a series of 9 events over 3 days. 35a Quality Street could not have been any better for us. The spacious and comfortable rooms allowed us to kick back each night after a long day. The kitchen is really well laid out and has everything you need. 6 big blokes were cooking, washing their clothes and stocking up the big fridge with no issues over space or quality of the goods supplied. We also stayed at the end of a particularly cold November and the flat was consistently cozy with nice fresh linen and comfy mattresses. The homely feel, great price and attention to detail have this down as one of the best places I've ever stayed in.

“Lovely spacious apartment” We have just spent 5 nights at the Oystercatcher and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and the location was perfect for popping down to the beach, shops and restaurants. Alastair, the owner, was very understanding when we thought we might have to cancel the week before due to our daughter and family now being under new Covid restrictions. However, my husband and I are so glad we decided to still go and our son and granddaughter were able to join us for a few days. After a recommendation from Alastair, we ordered a meal from the Osteria restaurant below and the staff very kindly brought it upstairs to us. What a treat!! All in all we would definitely recommend the Oystercatcher apartment and hope to return with our family.
