“What you see in the advert is what you get, only even better.” This holiday cottage exceeded all our expectations. It is all the advert says it is only even better, Every age group from babies to Seniors are catered for. There are books, toys, board games and an impressive choice of DVDs for chilling out after a day out at one of the many Cotswold attractions all within easy driving range. We were a party of four, three adults a teenager and a small dog. There is a safety gate to block the stairs if you are staying with a mobile youngster. Pets are obviously welcome but if you have left your furry companion at home, don't be sad, there is Rolo a beautiful cat who lives next door and likes visiting. If you are lucky he might leave you a present at the back door. We were presented with a Pigmy Vole one morning. There is a paved area in the front garden equipped with garden chairs and a table which is a lovely sunny spot for a relaxing pre-dinner aperitif, playing a family board game or a having quiet read. We have never seen such a well-equipped cottage, It is like home from home. It is spotlessly clean and there was even a welcome tray waiting for us when we arrived. Parking is on the street which runs past the bottom of the front garden, we always found a space there but it is a little narrow as the parked cars leave only enough space for vehicles coming from opposite directions to pass on one side of the road. So you have to be vigilant when leaving your car or coming through the garden gate onto the road. Perhaps there is one last thing that I should mention about the cottage , it is opposite the village church which has a clock that strikes every quarter of an hour and rings on the hour, If you are a very light sleeper or allergic to the sound of church bells, your would be advised to pack some earplugs. Having said that, I am a very light sleeper and was not woken once by the chiming bells, without earplugs! We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little end of terrace cottage and if or when we return to this delightful part of England, we would like stay there again with pleasure. Jean Davies and family.

“Absolute paradise!!” We decided to hire Ewelme Manor for my hen do last weekend and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful place. The photos of the house do not do it justice. Every single room was decorated to an impeccible standard and was immaculately clean. The gardens and grounds were beautiful too. We were met by Stephen the owner who showed us around and explained how everything worked. We had a complimentary bowl of fruit, a bottle of champagne, chocolates and a bride to be balloon awaiting us too. I only wish we had booked for a longer stay. I cannot recommend this place enough it was as the title says absolute paradise!!

Orchard Cottage
Deserves every katat of its gold award

Beautiful location, fantastic cottage. A faultless restoration and incredibly well equipped. The welcome basket on the dining table was great. And opening the fridge to find milk, orange juice butter and a bottle of wine chilling was totally unexpected, but very much appreciated. … see more
Cotswolds, romantic retreat, views and hot tub!
Lovely relaxing place to stay

Loved every second of our stay here, which we'd booked for my 50th birthday. Accommodation was of a very high standard and in such a relaxing spot. Caroline was a great host and full of local knowledge about the best walks in the area, even leaving me a birthday message on the day we arrived. Shame the weather wasn't better for us but we still managed to make good use of the BBQ and hot tub during our stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a break away from the rat race.see more
Cotswold Stylish & Comfy Cottage in the heart of Uley
Lovely newly renovated cottage

We really enjoyed our stay here. Obviously it helps to have a car but you could just chill out locally with a pub serving good food up the road, footpaths leading to nice walks in all directions and a very comfy, cosy cottage. Our teenage son loved having the use of a guitar during our stay and our small dog loved the walks!see more

Ewelme Manor ***PLEASE ASK FOR 25% NOVEMBER DISCOUNT ***
Fabulous venue for our large family

We were celebrating my birthday by getting our family together in one place. We range in age from mid 70s to 2 years old, 12 children and 9 adults. The children spent hours in the beautiful heated pool and also had table tennis competitions and cricket matches. We were blessed with fine weather so all meals were taken outside and the BBQ coped with 40 for a lunch party without problem. The rooms are comfortable and attractive. I can heartily recommend Ewelme Manor and wish I was doing the whole event again next year! see more
