“Incredible !” My partner and I and our 2 dogs stayed for a week . The weather was mixed but realy didn't matter as the cottage is very homely. We also saw the dolphins from the lounge window !! There was always something happening in the Firth, ships of various sizes. Teh village of Cromarty has a great restraunt which has fab carryout pizza..shame we couldn't have eaten there as no dogs, but the Cromarty Arms welcomed the dogs and the food was great.
The location is incredible, and this is one of the best equipped holiday accomodations we have used.
We will return !!
Great house and extremely well equipped. A terrific and beautiful location. Easy to find though we have visited cromarty before.
Nicely located for walks in and around the town and for circular tours of the Black Isle by bicycle.
Hope to return soon. …
Seafront flat..idyllic sea view..yards from beach
Lovely flat in a great location
My brother & I stayed in Helen's lovely flat for 5 nights. The flat is comfortable & had everything that you need. It's in a lovely spot overlooking the firth and even the oil rigs moored there don't spoil the view.
We loved it & will be back !! …
Bayview Cottage, Cromarty
A second holiday in this comfortable, well appointed holiday house was enjoyed by our extended family.
Yes, this is our second summer holiday in this holiday house and we all had a wonderful time. Three generations of us, including a wheelchair user and we were all accommodated very well in a comfortable, well appointed house on the seafront. We were able to sit out on the decking and enjoy the view every day. Cromarty is a very friendly place with good amenities. Our weather was hot and sunny the whole fortnight and this enabled us to enjoy lots of local walks as well as trips further afield. Our trips included successful fossil forays locally, trips to view dolphins on the Ecoventures boat trip and to Chanonry Point, both with close up views of dolphins, RSPB Udale Bay and Loch Fleet Nature Reserves, Poyntzfield Herb Nursery and Inshriach Nursery with its fab cakes and red squirrel & bird feeding station, forest walks, Inverewe Gardens and lovely walks at Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve (some low level wheelchair friendly), Portmahomack, Beauly and Inverness. Lots of nice potteries and craft shops, some in Cromarty. Eating out; among other eateries we enjoyed The Royal Hotel in Cromarty and, while at Beinn Eighe, The Whistle Stop Cafe in Kinlochewe which should really call itself a restaurant, the meal was lovely. Wildlife spotted on our travels included red kites every day except one, dolphins, seals, a common lizard, dragon and damselflies, froglets, red squirrels, woodpeckers, ospreys, lots of waders and wildflowers. …
