Pleasant apartment in a beautiful area
A pleasant apartment with everything that was needed for a short break. The kitchen utensils were a bit basic but we managed. Nice and warm and lovely big towels, lots of hot water. Good wi-fi which pleased the children (and the adults too) …
Good value self catering
We booked this self catering apartment for walking in the Forest of Bowland. First up the price for 5 nights in August was very reasonable for two people even better if four were to rent and were happy to have a sofa bed for the second couple. Secondly the rooms were very spacious and had all that was required. Downside was that the central heating system was in need of a full service. You could have it full on or off but in between it created a lot of noise. Car parking outside was just about sufficient. The site is reached via a narrow road with passing places. Good areas for walking by car, 20 to 30 minutes away. Clitheroe can be reached on foot if you don't mind a good walk or 5 minutes by car. Simple bar open friday and sundays.Overall you could say the decoration was a little old fashioned but it is a period house. If you take the whole together, given the price I think most people would be very satisfied with this property. …
Very comfortable stay
Very clean property and well equipped. Our apartment was very spacious and felt very homely. Close to local amenities with plenty of information on hand. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay, could maybe do with a new mattress in main bedroom but apart from that would definitely go again! …
Extremely pleasant surroundings and accomodation
On arrival it was clear this was a great choice, The cottage was set in a working farm yard with spectacular views all around. The owner was there to meet us and could not have been more helpful, The cottage itself had everything you could possibly want and even fresh eggs, milk and a tin of freshly baked scones were left for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others and I certainly feel we will be back at Cobden View again soon.
Thanks to all involved. …
