“Wonderful Relaxing Stay” We stayed at The Studio in August for three days for a rare break away from the children. Jess and Mart were wonderfully welcoming with home made scones, bread and other goodies laid out for our arrival. The Studio was perfect for a break away from it all, with a lovely garden, pretty views and it was a great location for country walks and pubs. We also really enjoyed exploring the local area, especially Saffron Walden (fantastic butcher and market) and Cambridge. Thank you Jess and Mart for being such great hosts. We'd love to visit you again if we can.
“Excellent accommodation, great hostess” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St Vigors Short Term Let. Susan had thought of everything and we found maps, bus timetables, restaurant recommendations, local theatre/film listings, etc. in the house; also clear instructions as to how to work all the appliances and wifi. Any other questions were promptly answered. We were welcomed with coffee and cake and immediately made to feel at home. The house is in an ideal location, quiet, close to Cambridge yet near major roads to other interesting places. We very much hope to return some day.

Christmas in cambridge
My husband and I spent Christmas here with my mother in law. We loved the flat and Cambridge was one of the most pleasant parts of England we have been to. The owner of the flat was responsive and very helpful. The flat is in a lovely part of Cambridge located close to the city center and walking distance to just about everything. We had a tricky time with the washer/dryer but were able to manage with it. We enjoyed the stay and may book the flat again if it is available on our next trip. Cambridge is great and we are happy we booked this flat. …
The White Barn
Great little place to relax and chill. Plenty of space to retreat into. Saturday lunch in St Ives with a mooch around the shops. Lovely village pub. All we needed. …
Comfortable cottage near Cambridge
We found The Lodge to be warm and comfortable even on a wet weekend. No
complaints about the sheets or towels and the kitchen seemed pretty well-equipped. We didn’t do major cooking but visited The Royal Oak in Barrington and The Green Man in Thriplow for dinner - both recommended. A warm welcome at the church across the road on Easter Sunday too! …
Castle Hill Cottage
A great stay
My mum and I stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage has everything you could need and its location is excellent. The staircase is quite tricky but it adds to the charm of the place. We hope to return in the future. …
The Studio is a handy place to stay to see some beautiful English countryside, spanning the Cambridge, Suffolk and Essex counties. It has everything you need … well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed … so important when you are travelling a lot, sitting room to relax in after a busy day out and about exploring the countryside. Great hosts, giving some little nibbles, very nice with a cuppa. Places we explored from that location were: Clare, Long Melford, both of them pretty Suffolk villages, Wyndmondham (where my ancestors’ came from), Bury St Edmunds, Needham Market, Southend-On-Sea (to visit more relations), and many other very pretty villages.
Will book again if we make another trip and will recommend to family and friends heading that way. …
The Old Chapel
Lovely holiday cottage set in a splendid garden, in small town, great pub nearby!
Good starting point to discover Cambridge and the surrounding country side and villages. There are nice walks in the area and some of the villages are real gems with very good Inn's or Pubs.
Fulbourn has a great pub "The Six Bells" on walking distance from the holliday cottage for a bear or a home cooked meal in a great athmosphere.
Dennis and Ruth are warm and friendly people who are always nearby but on the background at the same time.
The beautiful garden with glashouse, kitchen-garden, cat and some chickens give a country-side feeling to the place. …
