“Perfect break” This is the escape I wanted the peacefulness of the lodge with all the luxurys I would need for a happy holiday Milk Wood ticked all the boxes. The mounains minutes away along with fantastic walks, the rivers for White water rafting a short drive away. Infact the driving was a joy through the Mountain passes.
The Lodges were tucked away in a wood on the mountainside warm cosy if staying in the winter cool in the summer. This Lodge was just right for us to visit all parts of Snowdonia. Our 2 gunndogs are worn out and enjoyed every minute. The hot tub was a bonus when we returned in the evening under the stars.
“First Class Accomodation” Great cabin, really cosy and well equipped. Excellent base for exploring snowdonia, mid Wales, chester and liverpool.
Had a fantastic time
Thanks to Ereca and Phil for providing great Accomodation.
“Truly tranquil - the perfect place to relax!” Well, what can we say about Milk Wood Bach..! It truly is one of the most relaxing breaks we've had. We've been on lots of amazing holidays but if your looking for somewhere in an idyllic setting (with no phone service!) and to enjoy stunning views and walks this is for you. The spacious cabin is fully equipped with everything you need from a comfy bed, sofas, dishwasher etc. The sauna and hot tub absolutely fantastic. Garden and stream behind was just lovely with a morning coffee. Wood burner was great in the evenings - really cosy. The cabin has a fantastic sound system too which you can plug your phone into etc. The walks nearby were stunning (and great for our Cocker Spaniel dog!) You are a little bit out of it here, shops for essentials etc aren't within walking distance but this was perfect for us. The nearest pub is the Cross Foxes which served great food and wine (and dog friendly) we actually walked to it one evening, takes around 40 mins to get there to walk but was worth it to avoid the 'who's driving'! Just remember to take your torch with you but there is one which the owner leaves at the cabin for you. Phil the owner is really helpful too. I could go on and on about this place but if you want a luxurious break in a beautiful setting in a cosy cabin and great scenery this is the place to go. We can't wait to book another break here next year, it's definitely now our place to go when we need to 'escape from it all' - highly recommended. If you're in two minds just book it, you won't be disappointed! Thank you for an absolutely brilliant break (just what we needed!) :)
Second time visiting and it has lost none of its enchantment. Furnished to a high quality, silent surroundings, hot tub, sauna, beautiful garden what more could you ask for. …
Chalet Ty Cerrig
Perfect pet friendly secluded escape
A fabulous little place, off the beaten track which makes it a perfect secluded escape, yet close to everything you can need, from beaches to mountains, lakes to picturesque towns. The chalet has fabulous mountain views and is pet and child friendly. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the only fault being we could not stay longer! We will definitely return. The owners, and their lovely dog Thorn, are very friendly and are close by should you need anything during your stay. We had great weather for the time of year and were lucky enough to get to the top of Snowdon! …
Milk Wood Lodges Wnion Wood
Amazing and Beautiful
Four of us stayed in the beautiful lodge, it was immaculately presented with all the facilities you could need for a trip.
The lodge was perfectly cleaned and presented and we were so impressed at the level of detail and effort that has gone into this place making it the perfect weekend away.
So much effort had gone into providing a welcome pack with all the information you could need for your trip.
There are rules that come along with the stay in the lodge but in my opinion they must have helped keep the lodge so perfect over the years so dont let these put you off, Phil and Pamela have gone to a great deal of effort to make sure everyones stay is the perfect time away from home.
thank you so much for such a fab weekend. …
Milk Wood Lodges; Milk Wood
Myself, wife and 2 daughters ( aged 11 and 9 ) have just enjoyed a 4 day break at Milk Wood Lodge. Where do we start?...from the minute we picked up the keys from the security box and walked onto the the rear decking, we could hear the hot tub bubbling away ready for us. The lodge itself is better equipped than most homes with 5 star fixtures, fittings and cleanliness. We easily cooked a full Xmas dinner yesterday as the kitchen is amazing! There is literally everything there you need, even including fresh dressing gowns for us all. I would imagine that it's a fantastic location to enjoy beautiful walks, as the surroundings are stunning - we, however, took full advantage of the cosiness of the lodge and enjoyed a lazy Xmas! We all throughly loved spending time in the hot tub, followed by a sauna. There literally isn't one aspect of our time spent at the lodge that we could fault - absolutely perfect and will be highly recommending. Thank Philip and Pamela for a truly magical Xmas.
