“Lovely” As we have stayed at this location before going back to the house was lovely..very clean neat tidy perfect home from home..good location to the town and shops, everything as it should be and Pat is a warm caring gentleman especially when it comes to his guests..
The cottage was more than we could have asked for, definitely will be going back, really relaxing and enjoyable. …
Absolutely perfect place to stay.
We stayed here for 7 days visiting some friends in the local area, and I have to say as soon as I walked in the door I was impressed not only was the cleanliness top notch the house was very nice and comfortable for myself and the family, we had everything you could possible wish for and need, for a home from home stay. Pat told me that if anything is needed let him know and he will sort it. We did have one small issue which was dealt with immediately by the owner Pat who was also very nice and bought us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. All in all an amazing holiday accommodation. …
Dovedale Cottage NITB 5 *****
Excellent cottage it had every thing we needed and suited every one.
This is a great wee cottage going by the photos but did we get a shock the cottage was so large some of the bed rooms must have been 20 feet by 20 feet plus the bathroom ensuite.
The house was so clean and fresh you knew the owners took great pride in meeting and showing you round this wee gem and they were also willing to give some advise on both the local restaurants and sight seeing tours across Northern Ireland.
Every one in our group was very pleased with our cottage and the visitor book confirmed this also.

An excellent vacation property. Ideal base for touring the Mourne area and further afield....
Fernhill Lodge is a fine and spacious vacation property, maintained to a high standard.
What do I recall most as I write this review? I think it is the early morning views across the rolling countryside with the Mourne mountains in the distance. We were fortunate to have dry and sunny weather for a week-long break in mid March. The countryside of County Down and the coastal areas afforded many enjoyable day trips.
The property has been well maintained and all furniture, fittings and kitchen equipment are of a high standard. On our arrival, the house was very clean and well presented!
Pat, the owner, is a considerate and helpful host, guiding us and advising us on the local amenities as well as things to do and see further afield, including Belfast and beyond. The provided scones, with jam and cream, were very much appreciated with a cup of tea on our arrival.
Based on our experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this property. …
