“Good location for a Scarborough break” Located at a high point close to the castle, the view from the main living area is panoramic. Great to cook, sit and eat or relax with an every changing scene. We found all we needed to properly self-cater in the kitchen area. The flat was generally clean and tidy, except for the oven, which needed a deep clean. You don`t get a great view without some effort and the walk back uphill may tax some guests. Our main gripe was the lack of parking spaces. We were loath to move the car once we had parked as every available spot was taken up the moment a space came available.

“Great bungalow, perfect for our stay!” Great to have a parking spot, right outside the door. The bungalow is very spacious and clean with everything needed for a lovely break away. The garden is a real sun trap, so we made the most of it on sunny days! The location was perfect as it is in walking distance of the town centre, Flemingate, shops and restaurants, with a short 20 minute drive to the Hornsea for when we fancied being at the coast. We loved it thanks and can't fault it!

“Splendid !” I moved away from East Yorkshire over 30 years ago, so I was very pleased to find such a pleasant place to stay for a couple of weeks and rediscover the area. I found the apartment very comfortable for the 3 of us staying there, everything was clean and in good working order and it was a nice surprise to find a supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk waiting for us when we arrived. I went to Beverley Grammar School in the 1970’s and my recent stay allowed me to rediscover some of the wonderful things about Beverley. A guided tour of the minster roof allows you to see how it was constructed as if you are seeing it through the eyes of the craftsmen who built it, also walking on the Westwood gives you a view of Beverley that is probably one of the most scenic views in England. The apartment is very conveniently situated & it is easy to stroll along to Wednesday Market to enjoy a morning coffee in one of the cafes while reading the paper, and in the evening have dinner in one of the restaurants and enjoy a pint or two on the way back. I would certainly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the wonderful town of Beverley.

“Terrific family house” Minster Bells is a spacious, convenient, and well-appointed house, with a very pleasant and helpful owner. Three generations of our family (aged 2 to 70+) enjoyed our long weekend there, while attending a family wedding. The house is very handy for the tourist sights, for shops (including a nearby supermarket, and restaurant) and for weddings at the Hospitium. Janet provides a most useful guide-pack to the facilities in the house, and to York in general. I would recommend Minster Bells highly.

“Lovely spacious open plan family holiday home” Excellent swimming pool which is included in the price, which also has sauna and steam room, also good size baby pool. Very good cafe/bistro next door to pool which does tasty pizza and pasta. Nice walk to beach. Not too far from filey, scarboro and bridlington. Already recommended to friends and family.

“Cosy, clean cottage with lovely garden and a great base for exploring the area.” This cottage makes a super base for exploring either locally on foot or a short journey in the car will get you to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend and the gorgeous countryside - all of these places make for a fabulous day out. Eskmoor cottage, although on the main road through Ruswarp provided a peaceful retreat at the end of a busy day. It has a great outdoor space at the rear which is reached via a short private path and is safely fenced in and there's also a covered bench area immediately outside the rear of the cottage and it all feels quite private. We had no problem parking up the hill, (a short walk from the cottage) even in August. We unloaded and loaded the car directly outside the cottage but you cannot park there. There are local shops in Ruswarp for provisions and anything else can be obtained in Whitby. The decor of the lounge and main bedroom is traditional, clean and fresh and in keeping with the age of the property. The lobby at the front is a handy space to leave shoes, etc and the separate door into the lounge means you don't lose the heat. Good value for money.

“Cosy little cottage” After a slight problem on arrival which was quickly solved by the owner we spent a couple of lovely days at cuddy cottage. The cottage has everything for your needs and is located right in the middle of the harbour within easy reach of everything. Only negative is the parking. We had to buy a parking permit which cost us £26.00 for 3 days as none of the parking Meyers were working. You can get these from the tourist info centre on the harbour side. Remember to add this cost when booking any accommodation in this area. We really loved cuddy cottage and will be back when we can. Thank you to the owners for all your help & also to the lovely lady who lives next door.

“Luxury by the sea” This was my second visit to the The Beacon and I have booked another two breaks for this year.I have stayed at three other apartments over the last 2 years and although they were very nice I must say The Beacon is the best! Apart from the luxury decor and facilities the view is wonderful ,probably one of the best in Filey The owner Sue and her family are very welcoming and are eager to help in any way.

“5* Star character property” From the minute we arrived at the property it felt like home. 12 of us in a house and it still felt enormous! This property is kept to a very high standard, the kitchen was superb and we could all gather in there around the large central unit for a chit chat. Adjacent to this was a beautiful dining room with enough space for all of us around the table along with a beautiful fireplace and sofas. Lots of relaxation rooms if you wanted some alone time too. Couldn't ask for more. Bedrooms all to a high standard, the Master Bedroom being exceptional. On the South Bay, in the quieter area but just a minutes walk to the hussle and bussle of Scarborough's centre with more restaurants than you knew what to do with! Perfectly located. Brilliant weekend, made perfect with this beautiful property.

“Lovely cottage near North Yorkshire moors” We stayed at Annette's lovely 'Nest' for three nights at the end of July and had a very nice time. The cottage is very 'oldie worldly' and well equipped. The kitchen has everything needed for two and the bedroom is beautifully staged to match the era of the cottage and romantic get away. Lovely ensuite bathroom too. Annette was very helpful and gave us terrific advice of where to eat and local places to visit. It was a lucky last minute find for us! The co-op is two minutes away and the pub near that station serves wonderful meals. I'd definitely recommend to friends.
