“Amazing little hidden gem and pet friendly” Lovely bungalow on a nice quiet caravan site. The location is perfect for the beach, a good 10-20 minute walk and that’s at the pace of our 5 year old daughter. The bungalow is really modern, clean, spacious inside. Perfect parking for 2 cars. Pet and child friendly especially with the enclosed decking on the back. One thing we did find lovely, no matter who you passed on site, people always said “good morning/afternoon” everyone on the site was really friendly and welcoming.

“Good location for a Scarborough break” Located at a high point close to the castle, the view from the main living area is panoramic. Great to cook,sit and eat or relax with an every changing scene. We found all we needed to properly self-cater in the kitchen area. The flat was generally clean and tidy, except for the oven, which needed a deep clean. You don`t get a great view without some effort and the walk back uphill may tax some guests. Our main gripe was the lack of parking spaces. We were loath to move the car once we had parked as every available spot was taken up the moment a space came available.

“Fantastic” Had a fantastic mini break here at Owl Barn Cottage. Margaret and Barry were very accommodating and ensured that we had settled in okay. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing get away. The hot tub and wood burner are both a perfect added extra to the lovely accommodation and make your mini break that extra special. York is approx 8 miles away, cost £20 in a taxi however if you drive there is a park and ride a few miles down the road and the bus is £5 straight in York centre. Cannot compliment this place enough. We will be returning in the future and would definitely recommend Owl Barn to anyone who wants to get away for a mini break and a visit into York.

“Lovely Christmas break” Just returned from a great break, the house was decorated and very Christmassy. Well equipped kitchen made Xmas cooking easy, nice walks in the area and a couple of good pubs ten mins walk away.

“Excellent value for money” Warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Owners Sue & Alan have thought of every detail and have a little gem of a holiday home.The hot tub is soooo relaxing after a long walk and there are white robes / slippers provided adding to the chilled out feeling once you're out of the tub. The "secret garden" behind the gate comes alive at night with lights that are tastefully placed around it and the hot tub,we spent a day just lounging on the garden chairs in the hot sunshine ( lucky with the weather). Difficult place to say " goodbye" to as its a peaceful haven. Good luck to Sue & Alan they've put a lot of thought ,hardwork into this lodge and we hope it goes from strength to strength. “Excellent apartment in the city center overlooking the river.” This is a first class apartment in the center of York. Everything needed was supplied and the owners kindly provided a starter pack of essentials and some nice extras which were greatly appreciated. Communication with the owners could not be faulted and we were greeted on arrival and shown round the apartment. Parking is in a designated space which is bonus in a city center location. Despite the close proximity to the city the apartment was extremely quite with no noise from outside or other residents in the block. We have stayed in a number of apartments over the years and can genuinely say this is one of the best we have stayed in. Thanks to Sue and John for your hospitality.

“Cosy apartment in the beautiful dales.” Your apartment is warm, cosy and spacious and has everything available that you could possibly need to make the stay very comfortable. Appliances galore in the kitchen- loved the slow cooker. We enjoyed playing the games and puzzles that were available, especially the big 500 piece Europe jigsaw! We had a lovely week exploring the dales, the apartment is centrally located to travel around with ease. We visited Asgarth Falls, Tan Hill, Malham Cove, Hawes Wensleydale cheese factory, White Scar caves, Bolton Castle... among other places. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would highly recommend your apartment. Thank you.
