“spacious” place was spacious clean smelt nice. Didn't like parking on the road but nothing negative apart from that. Next doors cats came and said hello most days which is ok if you don't have a dog with you which we didn't. Rebecca came and said hello and gave us some information that would be handy for us. Had a lovely holiday.

“Singularly enchanting” Gina's healthy home is like nowhere else I have ever stayed. Not only in a wonderful location and beautifully laid out, but also packed with interesting features and curios. It was an education for our group of ten not particularly spiritually inclined or harmonious 30 year chaps. We found it difficult to decide which of the many lovely sitting rooms to hang out in next. Soothed by the overall effect of the place after three days, everyone was very reluctant to head back to their city jobs and boring houses and flats.

“Fantastic” Had a fantastic mini break here at Owl Barn Cottage. Margaret and Barry were very accommodating and ensured that we had settled in okay. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing get away. The hot tub and wood burner are both a perfect added extra to the lovely accommodation and make your mini break that extra special. York is approx 8 miles away, cost £20 in a taxi however if you drive there is a park and ride a few miles down the road and the bus is £5 straight in York centre. Cannot compliment this place enough. We will be returning in the future and would definitely recommend Owl Barn to anyone who wants to get away for a mini break and a visit into York.

“Excellent value for money” Warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Owners Sue & Alan have thought of every detail and have a little gem of a holiday home.The hot tub is soooo relaxing after a long walk and there are white robes / slippers provided adding to the chilled out feeling once you're out of the tub. The "secret garden" behind the gate comes alive at night with lights that are tastefully placed around it and the hot tub,we spent a day just lounging on the garden chairs in the hot sunshine ( lucky with the weather). Difficult place to say " goodbye" to as its a peaceful haven. Good luck to Sue & Alan they've put a lot of thought ,hardwork into this lodge and we hope it goes from strength to strength. “Perfect country retreat in outstanding scenic location” Despite frequent showers and flood warnings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Beck Stables. In fact, we rather appreciated the wet weather as some days it meant we were forced to stay indoors and enjoy the comfortable accommodation, luxurious bath robes and warming woodburning stove. There really is 'something for everyone' in Nidderdale- future guests will be spoilt for choice of walks, National Trust properties, shops in Harrogate, picturesque towns and villages and not forgetting the amazing Turkish Baths! We will definitely be visiting again, with the warm hospitality shown by our hosts (for instance, bringing us a whole stack of local maps after we forgot to bring any! And the residents carparking disc for Harrogate) adding to the whole experience. We cannot describe the cottage highly enough- it has clearly been renovated to a high standard and has all the facilities you could wish for including a delightful Yorkshire hamper upon arrival. We absolutely loved our holiday here.

“fanatstic” We are brother and sister meeting together with our families for a mini break. We stayed for a long weekend. We chose this cottage because of its location, the photos on the website, the number of rooms, the wood burner and that Holly could provide a hot tub. We were not disapointed with the house in the slightest. Beautifully decorated with every essential that you need - a real home from home. The welcome pack was brilliant. Holly's attention to detail and customeer service is fantastic. One of my email confirming that we needed a hottub went astray. Holly's usual provider did not have any left, so she rang every contact she could find until she managed to find us one. It took a while to warm up, (because it was freezing outside) but that was not Holly's fault. I highly recommend this cottage - you will not be disappointed.

“A fantastic house on a lovely site.” The house is immaculate, with many thoughtful touches. It is located on a quiet site, but has a range of good facilities. The owner is very helpful, sending lots of information beforehand. The step down onto the paved bbq area is quite steep, making it difficult for less mobile people.

“Fabulous holiday cottage” We had an absolutely fabulous stay here, the cottage has everything you need. Beautiful views and a lovely cake and a bottle of wine left for us on arrival. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. We will definitely book again.
