“Grosvenor Cottage” Lovely presented cottage in beautiful Hornsea, we had a great time & thanks for the lovely extras, your beautiful cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, so very homely...the area is fantastic & we were so lucky with the weather following the recent storms. “Brilliant location” Perfectly located to access the beautiful surrounding countryside with great walks for my collie. In the evening it's a short stroll to the local pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend Panetti's and The Taste of India. The cottage has everything you need with the addition of the great dog friendly garden with a gate that leads direct to a walk along the beck. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch. We will be returning.

“A wonderful cottage in a lovely location.” Our family: two adults/two children with Grandma and Grandad, visted this cottage and found it to be spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you could ask for in a self catering property. The location was ideal, in a pleasant village and accessible to the surrounding area such as York. I will certainly visit again!

“Fantastic cottage and location” We have stayed in Staithes a number of times and Driftwood cotttage is the best cottage we have stayed in. The view is fantastic, you can see the harbour and also the Cod & Lobster pub from each floor. The cottage has everything you need for a great and cosy stay..We will be back!!

“spacious” place was spacious clean smelt nice. Didn't like parking on the road but nothing negative apart from that. Next doors cats came and said hello most days which is ok if you don't have a dog with you which we didn't. Rebecca came and said hello and gave us some information that would be handy for us. Had a lovely holiday.

“Fantastic” Had a fantastic mini break here at Owl Barn Cottage. Margaret and Barry were very accommodating and ensured that we had settled in okay. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing get away. The hot tub and wood burner are both a perfect added extra to the lovely accommodation and make your mini break that extra special. York is approx 8 miles away, cost £20 in a taxi however if you drive there is a park and ride a few miles down the road and the bus is £5 straight in York centre. Cannot compliment this place enough. We will be returning in the future and would definitely recommend Owl Barn to anyone who wants to get away for a mini break and a visit into York.

“A fantastic house on a lovely site.” The house is immaculate, with many thoughtful touches. It is located on a quiet site, but has a range of good facilities. The owner is very helpful, sending lots of information beforehand. The step down onto the paved bbq area is quite steep, making it difficult for less mobile people.

“It's the little things that make this cottage so special!” Last year we stayed in a sweet but very tiny cottage. So Manor Farm Cottage was a breathe of fresh air for us, with 3 very bouncy kids. A large kitchen diner, a comfortable lounge, a huge family bedroom for the kids and a decent double for us was just what we needed. But it was the food parcel, including fresh eggs from the owners' chickens, a huge array of toys, DVDs, books and sweets for the children, a lovely garden complete with BBQ and a Little Tykes car (our 4 year old was in heaven!) and then Catherine popping round with strawberries she had just picked - it was these things that made Manor Farm Cottage so special!

“private and peaceful” It was all it said it would be in the description. Very clean and well equipped. Judy welcomed us and gave us some useful information. But also left you in peace.We enjoyed York minster,Jorvik centre,Castle museum and Whitby.We used the park and ride at the local designer centre to get to York as it was cheaper and less hassle than taking the car. The only thing to remember is if it is extra cold you will need £1 coins for the meter. Other than that it was great.
