Finchairn Farm House
House | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 10
Finchairn Farm House has been newly renovated to create luxury accommodation. It has an elevated position and commands spectacular far reaching views over Loch Awe. It has everything you would need for a wonderful base to explore Argyll. Close to the coast and the ports to visit the islands but located in privacy in the middle of a hill farming estate. We do allow dogs but only as far as the kitchen, we do have outside under cover kennels also.
On the estate we have fishing for trout and pike with boats, kayaks and bikes to hire with over 13'000 acres to explore.
A perfect holiday house for two families or a family who like space.

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region
Argyll has a stunning coastline to explore which is only fifteen minutes away and stretches over 2800 miles, longer than the coast of France.
The Hebridean Islands are easy to reach by regular ferries, from Oban, Kennacraig, Tayinloon and Claonaig, which are all under an hours drive.
The mainland and the Islands have some fantastic beaches, which will keep the children happy for hours. Private boat trips can be arranged locally to include mackeral fishing or going to visit the third largest whirlpool in the world!!
The local area is steeped in history with a museum in Kilmartin to explain its ancient past. The village also has a shop, restaurant and a pub .There are ruined castles and chapels to explore in walking distance from the cottages with an abundance of fishing, walking, horse riding, sea trips, golf courses and water sports in the local area. We do have a smokery in the village of Ford for excellent smoked fish and restaurants only a short drive away in Crinan,Ardfern and Cairnbarn.

Thank you for this kind review. The farm house looks over Loch Awe not Loch Ederline just incase you get confused with the location. Roll on the spring and we look forward to meeting guests again!

"Fantastic position; beautifully fitted out and ideal for a large family like ours."
The Wilsons have just completed the conversation of this large farm house overlooking Loch Awe. The house is in a great position - quiet without being tolerated isolated. The facilities are brilliant for a large family or two and has everything you could possibly need; all to a really high standard. We had great weather but if it rained and you wanted to stay in, there is plenty of room for the whole family with a great games/children's room; lovely drawing room and dining room. Lots to do locally as you are near the coast with Lochgilphead and Inveraray close by. We will come back.
Two printing errors which I think should read 'Conversion' and 'Totally'.
