This is a 2-bedroom apartment in a high-ceiling historical building. We have completely renovated the place, so all the furniture, the kitchen, the bathroom, etc are brand new. All the rooms have large windows getting plenty of daylight inside. The floor is natural pine wood. The apartment has air conditioner. There are two bedrooms and one living room. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other (smaller) bedroom has a pullout couch with real mattresses (for two people). The couch in the living room is also a pull out type (sofa bed), so there are 3 beds in the apartment that can accommodate up to six people.
We have a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, plates, silverware, spices, condiments, etc. There is dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator, washing machine and 24-hour hot water. There will be fresh sheets, linen and towels at your arrival. You will have internet access and wifi connection. The LCD TV is also connected to internet with access to hundreds of (free) movies (VoD), news portals, TV channels, etc.
We will be available by phone or by email/whatsapp, when you make your reservation, when you arrive in the airport, and during your entire stay. Before coming, we will send you the precise directions on how you can get to the place from the airport. If requested, we can arrange airport pickup, as well. We will be on hand to meet and greet guests and can give you all the top tips to the area and Istanbul in general. Whatever you want to know I will endeavour to find it out for you. Send an e-mail in advance with what you want to do and we will put the info together.
Our apartment is located in Cihangir that is the bohemian and liberal neighborhood in Istanbul with laid-back cafes, restaurants, bars, bookstores, art galleries, breakfast places, stylish mosques and antique shops. The population is diverse: the old residents of the city, as well as artists, expats, hipsters, gays, students, street cats peacefully share the same neighborhood.
Our flat is 5 minutes walk from the metro station in Taksim which is the hub of Istanbul transportation and is connected to pretty much everywhere in the city. The vibrant Istiklal street is a few minutes walking distance. The iconic Galata Tower, Gezi Park, Istanbul Modern (contemporary art museum), the tram station are all within walking distances. If you want to get away from the crowds, you can walk 10 minutes towards south and enjoy the fresh air on the shore of Bosphorus. If you take the tram there, you will be in the historical part of the city (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, spice market, grand bazaar, etc) in about 10-15 minutes. Being so close to both the metro and the tram, you will have no worries getting around.
