With sweeping views of the Lyme Bay, Springfield is a wonderful seaside house set in Lyme Regis, on the Devon/ Dorset borders. A sprawling house with bags of character, lovingly restored and furnished by a London based interior designer. Six bedrooms for 12 adults to snooze in five star linens with an additional one pair of luxury bunk beds for 2 children. Just under 5,000 sq ft so everyone can spread out. Welcoming to children who will love the big garden, trampoline, snooker room, tv snug and games room - and of course the beaches.
Relax in the spacious lounge, with big French Windows opening onto the garden, cosy in the snug/TV room, cook in its big kitchen then eat together in either the breakfast area or dining room. Afterwards, unwind in the snooker room, ping pong in the games room, chill in the conservatory or fire up a challenge with board games in the drawing room.
Use the big L-shaped garden as a sun trap with terraced area for barbecues and al fresco dining while children boing on the trampoline. Parking for 6-7 cars adjacent.
Follow the paths and hedgerows to the beaches, gardens and harbour of Lyme Regis, a quintessential yet classy English seaside town. Amuse children building sandcastles at the beach, crabbing in the harbour, fishing out at sea, fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast or retreat for wonderful walks along the Coast. Stylish restaurants like Hix Oyster and Fish House are a short walk and the equally famous River Cottage a 15 minute drive. Casual dining is in abundance with the local honesty bakery for simple tasty, good honest fare.
Springfield is the ideal destination for multiple families holidaying together or special occasion get togethers.
