The Granary has two luxury bathrooms, one en suite.

There's satellite tv, free wireless internet, a wood-burning stove and a well stocked library. Outside there's a children's play area, barbecue, firepit and table and chairs. On the island there are two pubs that both serve food. It's a great area for walking, canoeing or diving. You can take the famous Seafari or Sea Life boat trips, or take the short ferry to neighbouring islands.

Mull, Iona and Loch Ness are all an easy daytrip.

The Argyll and Bute region

The West Coast of Scotland is an area of spectacular natural beauty. From the Granary, Mull, Iona and Loch Ness are all an easy day trip. On the journey from Glasgow you travel through Loch Lomond national park, through the Highlands, past Loch Awe and the dramatic Falls of Lora. From the Oban ferryport most of the Western Isles of Scotland are easily visited, there are also many excursions, including the annual visit of the last ocean-going paddlesteamer, SS Waverley.

Balvicar

Oban is renowned for its seafood restaurants and seaside promenade. Also well supplied with supermarkets and all essentials. The Island of Seil has two pubs, which both serve food in season. It's a great area to explore. You can also take the short ferry ride to the neighbouring islands of Luing and Easdale, famous for its history of slate mining.
