Thank you very much for sharing your experience of staying at Squirrel Cottage - I now tell all our guests of your shear determination to see the pine marten, as we are sure they make regular visits to the squirrel feeders. Like all wild life watching one has to be persistent and you both certainly were - and you were rewarded. We are very much looking forward to your return next year. Best wishes Kathleen and James

Thank you very much for the fantastic review, we are really pleased the red Squirrels appeared in abundance and loved all your hazel nuts - the hazels nuts are definitely what red squirrels are addicted to! The red squirrels are becoming less timid with this week guest's reporting how friendly the red squirrels are. Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with everyone and look forward to welcoming you back next year.

Thanks for your kind comments Jo. We're really pleased you enjoyed your stay and it's great to know that all the hard labour gone into making both Cow Sheds great is very much appreciated. You're right about the road. In winter, if we have a lot of snow the road can be tricky for two wheel drive cars. It can be a minor issue for a few weeks of the year but with our warmer climate it's unpredictable. Kirsty & I live right next door to the Cow Sheds and we have a 4x4 so we're on hand to help transport luggage and shopping if needed and there's a good place with ample parking where locals leave their cars on the lane about 400m down the hill from us - a nice walk with a good pair of boots. As it happens we haven't had to help anyone yet but I'm sure the time will come. We have had a few people expressing a desire to be snowed in however! We do get snowed in maybe a couple of times a year for a day or so & we love it!
