“Peaceful, relaxing location” A wonderful place to stay, so peaceful! The log cabins are well spaced to give privacy and are very cosy and comfortable with excellent view from windows. A welcome bottle of wine awaited us though some people might have preferred some coffee, tea, milk and sugar to start off with. Until you get used to it, it can be very easy to trip up in doorways but otherwise it is great. Books, games and a selection of dvds available but we took a decision not to watch television and no internet. Bliss!! Hardly any sounds to be heard but for the birds singing and it was wonderful to see pheasants and wood pigeons strolling by. An ideal base if you want to "get away from it all" or to visit the surrounding area and the village is a short distance away if you prefer to dine out or need some supplies from the shop. A visit to Thrunton Woods is a must if you enjoy walking. Enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to return at a later day and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet.
