“Warm, cosy, home from home cottage” Hi Petrea, Just thought I would drop you an email to say thank you and that we all had a lovely time at the cottage from the 13th to the 19th of May. We did not pick the best week for weather, but the cottage turned what could have been a disaster camping trip into a luxury holiday! I can not express how happy we were on the rough crossing on the ferry to Mull, knowing we had a dry, warm place to go to! The set up meant we could enjoy our day trips knowing we had a warm and cosy cottage to come back to and rest. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views of the harbour. I was not expecting an old cottage to have the modern facilities that it did - including the WIFI!! We managed to visit Iona, Ulva and Staffa (even spotting dolphines on the way back from Staffa!) We visited Glen Gorn Castle and walked to the standing stones, walked on calgary beach, visited Duart Castle, Lighthouse, Tobermoray Distillary, several artist studios (including the one round the corner - had a good chat with the artist), and had a game of pool and cider in the Mishnish. The fish and chip van was yummy and I would recommend to anyone that goes to Tobermorey to visit Cafe Fish as the seafood dishes are tasty and the bread baked fresh (specially lunch time as the starter portions are plenty big enough, which keeps it under a tenner! Anyway, wanted to email to say thank you for accomodating our last minute booking, we really feel we had a bargin! We would all recommend your cottage to our friends and family. Kind regards, Cassie

“Mull with its scenery and wildlife is a microcosm of all that is” Oakfield had all that we would have wished for, comfortable, views to the sea, a few minutes from the centre of Tobermory and helpful hosts. Mull abounds with scenery and wildlife with a multiplicity of picture postcards views, places of interest and a good selection of eating places to meet all budgets. Regular ferries to Staffa and Iona are a bonus and should not be missed. The Theatres offer a good range of entertainment. We had a superb week and readily recommend Mull to our friends
